Q: This one has me baffled. Isn't the press supposed to sell hot stories to make money?
The press is always responsible for what it prints no matter the source. To here the press tell it they are the guardians of truth and liberty not the hounds of profit and gossip. I'm not a journalist but I would certainly weigh anything I would print against the harm it might do. Maybe journalist aren't as idealistic as they once where. If a journalist leaked a defense related story that was perceived to damage the US during WWII he/she would have been shot.
Q: i mean internally what happens when ctrl+f9 is pressed?
If you are pressing ctrl+f9 from the IDE that you are working then it depends on the IDE, or your configuration. If you are using Turbo c, this key combination compiles the current c source. If you pressing it when running the compiled c program, then it all depends on the environment that you are working in, or the program itself can handle the key combination. This environment means the command line interpreter, the shell and the OS.
Q: I weigh about 225 and I Bench Press 250 which I know is over my weight and is supposed to be good but is that really good for a 17 year old?
I was on the power lifting team in high school and was in the 101 weight class and benched 145. So I think that you are doing good. My advice to you would be to do more strength training with lighter weight that way you can lift the heavier weights with ease. try to do anywhere from 55-65% of your 1 rep max, 3-4 sets fo 12-15 reps. this should help you on your ballistic power as well as overall strength. Lifting lighter weights is not just for toning but is also for building strength. Lifting heavier, as you already know is more for building mass.also make sure not to drop below 90- degrees when performing any kind of press or fly moves. The reason being is that you have a small muscles called the superspinatus muscle that is the size of your pinky. when you drop below 90-degrees you put and undo amount of stress on that small muscle to try to lift 250, all you are doing is stressing it and once yo stress it enough you will eventually snap it and you will not be able to do bench press for a while. This is the leading cause of most shoulder injuries because people are not aware of what they are asking that muscle to do. you can strengthen this area by doing rotary cuff exercises with no more than 5 lb. weights.

you must have gotten it wet somehow. or, if it gets pressed too much or if something got caught in there, it'll stay in that position as if its being pressed. just buy a new one. i have an 'after glow' one for 30 dollars at walmart. or if you're too cheap: (i dont advise this AT ALL) but you can take out that button carefully make it where-as you have to literally touch the machinery button in the controller. [be careful if you do cuz if you mess up, you're SCREWED)
Q: if i start working my forearms and they get stronger, will this help improve my bench press?
improve the bench press? wouldn't hurt./ also, if you're not already doing it ,squeeze the bar very tightly and you'll notice that all the contracting muscles will amp up also. And visualize that you are pushing yourself away from the bar instead of pushing the bar away. concentrating on tension in the body is more important that concentration on the weight lifted. /good technique is strength.go to some powerlifting website for advice. good luck
Q: I am required to collect and press a variety of plants for a plant identification course that starts in the fall. The instructions say to change the inter-leafing paper after 24 hours, but it doesn't say how long they ultimately need to stay in the press. Can you help? Thanks in advance!
There's no definite answer to this, as it will depend on the temperature and humidity of the area in which you're drying the plants, and how many plants you're attempting to dry at one time. Anything that will increase the temperature and decrease the humidity will decrease the drying time. That said, I have to say the average drying time for me is 4-7 days. Something you can do to decrease the drying time yourself is to put the press near an air vent so that the air blows through the ventilators (through the holes in the corrugated carboard). If you have a room with a dehumidifier, that works too, espcially if the press is put where the warm, dry air blows through the ventilators. Another thing to try is to put a table lamp with a higher wattage incandescent light bulb on the floor, and put the press above it between two chairs so the heat from the light hits the press. Again, you want to place the press so the warm air rising flows through the ventilators. If nothing else, you can use a fan directed at the press. As a side tip, one the plants have been drying a day or two, tighten the straps on the press. The shrinkage of plants as they dry can allow the leaves to wrinkle in the press, and doesn't give you the smooth, flat results that look best.

Q: I am having the hardest time getting my cookies right when using my press. I've got a really tasty recipe that works well in the press if I click the lever TWICE rather than just once. Clicking it twice creates a cookie that is way too big and not as crispy as I would like. Does anyone have tips for me to get my cookie to stick to the pan with just one click on the press? Q: Hi, I just wanted to ask a question about basic press-ups.For the last few weeks i've been doing 100 press ups a night, in two sets of 50 (with a good few minutes break in between), anyway i noticed a huge difference at first, but for a while it's not actually improving anything. Anyway i was wondering if it would be effective to switch this exericse to alternative days, and on the other days to do 50 normal press ups, 10 narrow ones (with hands together touching) and 10 wide ones (with arms considerably far apart) or other amounts depending on how difficult it will prove; so my question is would this prove effecitve and is it worthwhile? Otherwise i'll just continue with 100 press ups.Many thanks
the best thing you could do to get results with press ups at this stage (seeing as you can do more than 50 pushups) is to condense your workouts one set once or twice a week doing as many pushups as you can till failure. that's it. each time you do pushups try and do more than you did previously and that will help you get results. another good way to go about getting results with press ups is to switch to a more difficult variation whcih will decrease the number of reps you can do. you can also try wearing a backpack with weights put inside to weigh you down as you do the press ups.
