- Rust is just a chemical reaction when water sets on iron or steel, or any other metalit reacts with the air to Oxidize once it does it's pretty much iron deposit and oxygen, im sure a large amount could kill you, like if you worked in a cloud of rustbut unless given other allergies to metals you should be fineBut you know what wont kill you?
