Q:I have a space of 4 between the felted and tiled external wall. I need to insulate it but cannot get solid insulation sheet in there. Neither can I use glass fibre as there is no way to get access to the space. I could pour a liquid or granular material and it would eventually fill the gap. I do not want to use expanding poly foam as I cannot get far enough down the gap and also as it expands it may bulge the tiling outward.What can I use? I thought of vermiculite, bu do not know where to buy it in the UK.Any other ideas?Jonah: blown blow the cellulose insulation into it in the states we can rent a machine to do it

This can happen if she's not happy with the laying area provided and also if the eggs are infertile. We normally put in a laying box that is about 12 inches long by abour 8 inches high, this you would want filled to a depth of about 6inches with either damp vermiculite, peat and vermiculite, or my favourite mix of sand and peat. Good luck, lets hope she's not egg bound in which case she would need to go to the vets.

Q:When i was a freshman in college we used to play volleyball in our room knocking the cottage cheese asbestos off of the ceiling. Sometimes the floor would be littered with it. Unfortunately at the time i did not know this was asbestos. We used to do this maybe 3 times a week or so. Id say about half the time our room was ventilated with windows open. I was in this room for 7 months.So im wondering how concerned should i be about getting lung cancer or Mesothamlimia. Ive read a bunch over the last week that you can get mesothalimia(sry spelling may be wrong) from 1-3 months exposure but theres not figures on how likely you are to get it. Most of the forms are not particularly dangerous, but the dangerous forms are really bad. The worst form is vermiculite, which was sold as insulation for houses. This stuff looks like small pieces of popcorn made out of mica. So, unless you were exposed to vermiculite, chances are you will never have a problem. Also, it usually takes chronic exposure to asbestos over several years to cause lung problems (but there are rare exceptions). You can't undo what's been done, so all you can do at this point if you are concerned is to make an appointment with a pulmonary specialist and get a chest x-ray. The doc can recommend a schedule for monitoring your lungs - maybe chest x-rays every 7-10 years.
