Q:Salt silos can be found usually in areas where snow is prevalent in the winter months - like NY State, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Illinois etc. The ones I have seen are brown and round with one large open door on the side and the salt can be seen inside. Q:how do i calculate the volume of a circular silo with a rectangular side?: i'm not completely sure if we're thinking of the same thing but you cout cut the circular part on top off. that would be half a sphere. find the volume of the half circle for a sphere and then divide it by 2. then you would have the rectangular prism. find the volume and add the half sphere and the prism together. i'm so sorry if that made no sense
