I'm going to college in the fall to study clarinet. I have a ton of music books that I've bought and have to buy, and I don't want them to get wrecked. They're bigger than normal paper, so they don't fit in a lot of plastic containers. How do you all store your music? I need a relatively inexpensive method that will still protect all my books and sheet music! Thanks! Is there a product out there especially for music books, like a container with a lid that specifically fits them?
With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina. According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted.
Yes, plastic sheets can withstand high temperatures depending on the type of plastic used. Certain plastics such as polypropylene and polyethylene have high melting points and can tolerate elevated temperatures without deforming or melting. However, it is important to note that not all plastics can withstand high temperatures, and some may become soft, warp, or melt when exposed to heat.
Yes, plastic sheets can be used for sound barriers. They are often used in construction projects or industrial settings to reduce noise transmission. Plastic sheets, such as acrylic or polycarbonate, can effectively block or absorb sound waves, making them a suitable material for soundproofing applications.
The purpose of using plastic sheets is to provide a protective barrier or cover, whether it be for shielding against dust, water, or other elements. They can also be used for insulation, packaging, or as a barrier for construction or DIY projects.
I got the thick 4mil, does it work better with a space between the window and film? My neighbor puts the film right on the window, does that help? I think a still-air space would work better. How much does it really help, 5%?
You are correct that an air-gap would provide much better insulation than the film directly in contact with the window, and, I would expect it to improve your heating expenditures by no more than about 15% or so.
I have a Brother HL-5140 and I've search the internet, but cannot find out if this printer will print on the overhead projection paper or if it will melt the plastic sheets. Can anyone with this printer tell me? Or can someone tell me what wording to look for on a list of printer specs that will tell me? Thanks!
Certain printers can do this, but proceed with caution as you can't just use any overheads, you need to buy overheads capable of going through a Laser printer. If you refer to the web site I have provided the answer you want is there

There is a wallpaper with pressure sensitive adhesive. When the protective paper is removed, it can be glued directly to the plastic gusset plate
Yes, plastic sheets are generally resistant to UV degradation. Many types of plastic sheets are treated with UV stabilizers during the manufacturing process, which helps to prevent the breakdown of the material when exposed to sunlight. However, the level of resistance may vary depending on the specific type and quality of the plastic sheet.
