In my vicinity, and I practice own home plumbing, I buy a whole pipe 6 meters long for about the equivalent of $(20-15). A local plumber might give you the short pieces you after for free.

So if your not into classical music, an acoustic is your best bet. Remember, NEVER try putting steel strings on a classical guitar, since the tension of the steel strings can break the guitar (i've seen it happen lol).
