Q:what is the resistance of overhead power cables?: depends on the thickness, and length, and material. .

Q:I would like to buy a replacement. What AC/DC adaptor should I buy? Should I buy the exact same model (FSP150-AAA)? I assume any AC/DC adaptor that has the same spec is ok but I am not sure what is the key for the spec. Any advice would be appreciated.: There appear to be various manufacturers of FSP150-AAA power supplies. You must have a substantial laptop or whatever that is powering. Most laptops have 65 to 90 watt PSU, my gaming laptop is 120 watt, and FSP150-AAA is 150 watt. Or is that an all-in-one PC where the computer is built into a screen? The one you link to is one of the ones I found in a web search.

To override the setting, look for a picture of the Sun on the middle-top of your keyboard. Sometimes its Blue. Once you find it, look at the bottom left of your keyboard for a FN (function) button. While holding the FN button, tap a few times at the sun button. Your screen should now be bright ;) Make sure you do this with the power unplugged, enjoy.

Get the proper size cord. What you show from the computer looks like #20. You want a 3 W. #16, cord.

Q:When I went to go set it up, everything is ps3 except the power cable. You know on the side where it connects to the ps3? Well its supposed to be round on both sides. Well ours is round and square. Can i shave the square one or will it not work?: No, you can use the power cable for a computer on the PS3. It is a standard shape and can be purchased from any good computer shop. The PS2 uses a transformer and the pin alignment is different. Just get a proper cable, they are really cheap anyway.

Q:i have the computer powersupply 400w and i dont know what cable to connect to the car stereo???: If is an aftermarket head unit , connect the thick yellow (continuous power) and red (accessory power) wires together to the positive red wire of the power supply 12V. I lost the original cable...can I use a different one?ThanksMatt: yes and no, you need to know what the device wants, you need to know whether its taking ac or dc power, polarity, and amps. amps is more for laptops, other appliances are usually dumber, and will ignore that. On a standard plug, the round one on the opposite end of the wall end, you need to know the polarity, some where on the adapter you should see a symbol like this +C- (now, that's the best I can do with ASCII characters) or backwards, -C+, this tells you whether positive currents(+) and negative currents (-) are on the inside or outside of the plug. you need to match that symbol with the one on your device. Next: on the adapter, it should say somewhere input: 120 V AC output: 12v DC the numbers will probably be different, but the input and output need to match. if your working with laptop adapters, if you didn't buy the adapter specifically for the computer, double check amps too, if your charging like, an mp3 player that uses the trapezoid usb plug off a Motorola Razor wall charger with the same plug, I don't know, I've tried, didn't work well, kind of worked I guess, I wouldn't recommend it.

Q:My setup is an alpine MRX-M100 powering 2 alpine type R 12's on 4 ohm, and also an old eclipse PA 5422 speaker amp. The main thing is I have 4 gauge running from my battery to my amps, but I have this sort of distribution block that turns the 4 gauge wire into 2 8 gauge wires. I know that this probably isn't the best for the MRX-M100, but it's all I had or what I could afford at the time. The main thing I wanted to ask was is this bad for the amp, and what would it be like if I had 0 gauge coming off the battery so then it would be 4 gauge going to the amps? Would it be louder? Could I turn it up higher? because right now if I turn up the volume past a certain point the subs will just stop playing. If I just shut off my head unit and turn it back on they start up again. Your thoughts and recommendations would be appreciated!: okay alot of 4 gauge amp kits are not legit 4 gauge ive seen some more like 10 gauge of actual wire if you have legit awg wire you should be fine but you should have another 4 gauge strand to the alpine amp Id also recommend the big 3 upgrade your power will be increased greatly... if you want to run a 0 gauge you can but you could also just run another 4 gauge wire also make sure your grounds are sufficant because they shouldnt shut off either way

Q:power supply, however it comes with some cables that can be attached to the peripheral 4 point cable then ran into the card itself. can this setup work? Or will I need a new power supply with 2 6 point pci express power cables? Oh by the way its a 600 watt power supply I currently have.: i think you should be ok
