All you need to do is pop down to your local computer store and get a power splitter, just make sure you get the right type, IDE and SATA drives have a different kind of power connector, so just make 100% sure before you buy!

Q:On an ATI Radeon HD 4870 1 GB, It has 2 slots of PCIe Power. In the box, it already has the 2 ''Y'' cables/PCIe Adapter ( I haven't bought it, just watched someone unboxing it). I might not have a PCIe Power Connector on my 550W as I haven't bought it yet either. So when you insert the 2 ''Y'' cables/PCIe Adapter,it branches out 4 Molex slots, do you insert all 4 or 3 or 2 or just 1? The card needs 2x PCIe power cables so you need to plug in both of them. Each power cable needs 2x molex, so you need to plug all 4 in. Your power supply may also have a PCIe connector anyway so you might as well use that for one of them if you have it (it can't be used for anything else anyway) and then just use 2x molex to power the other one.

Q:I have an Apple powerbook g4, and my original power adaptor broke. So I bought a new one online, not an original mac one as they are too expensive for me! But this new one makes my tv, stereo and even the sound from headphones plugged into the laptop buzz or go funny. There's a third connector you might have noticed, which is the jumper pin settings. You don't need to play with that -- the jumper pins are there for you to set your hard drive into 1.5 GB and 3.0 GB speed modes. By default, it's set to 3.0 GB. You change it to 1.5 GB if your motherboard demands it.

Just splice the cable - no need to open the amp. Cut the damaged cable just above where it is damaged. Cut and strip the 3 wires. Cut off the damaged section. Cut and strip the wires that are connected to the power plug. Re-connect the two sections using in-line splices and electrical tape (you can buy these at any hardware store). Match up the wire colors. Splices look like this: mahathon .th/products_detail.ht... If you do a good job, that should last a long time.
