Q:Just curious... I'm not in construction and always wondered...
    little pieces by welly chopper
Q:what type of hydraulic oil does a 2007 liebherr LTM 1160 5.1 crane take?
You're telling me you've been entrusted the control of a crane capable of reaching 565 feet up an you don't know what hydraulic oil it takes?? Jesus Christ mighty... First off, it's in the owners manual, second off it's probably on the resivoir cap.... If you couldn't figure that out you shouldn't be allowed near the damn thing...
Q:What kind of force acting in the brake system which encounter the lifting material force and to maintain its level.
Cranes work using hydraulics and cables. The cables are wrapped around pulleys and the pulley is turned using hydraulic power. The brake system is simply stopping the pulley from turning by reducing power. The hydraulic system typically will turn a series of gears which in turn spins the pulley that the cable is wrapped around. It's different than a brake system say on a car where when you hit the brakes, pads squeeze on the interior of the wheel rim slowing it down. Cranes you just reduce power and stop the pulley from turning. They also have emergency stops. Older cranes have wedges that would be released onto the cable and then the wedges would grab the cable and slip into a ring. The narrow end of the wedges would slip into the ring first and then as the wedges increased in diameter the grip on the cable would get tighter and then stop the cable from moving. They also have systems on the pulleys to stop the pulley from spinning. They essentially work the same way as a car break. When the emergency brake is triggered, pads will squeeze on the rim of the pulley to stop it. These mechanisms work by friction. They could also have holes around the pulley and a steel pin would be pushed into one of the holes to stop it from spinning. Of course if the force of the weight exceeded the strength of the pin, it would shear.
Q:How the cranes can stand without any tipping with huge counter weights on its back? If there is no suspended load also the crane is is still stable with huge counter weights on its back. How it can possible? Why crane is not offballencing while we adding extra counter weights on it without any suspended load?
Usually the counterweights can move back and forth on an arm. They are moved toward the crane when there is no load and away from the crane when there is a load. If the counterweights can't move, then the crane must be designed to hold (at least) the minimum counterweights in their fixed location. As the crane gets loaded, the net moment decreases, and then increases in the other direction as more and more load gets added. It is still likely that the maximum design moment when loaded far exceeds the moment due to the counterweights on an unloaded crane.
Q:I am currently an electrical apprentice but would like to become a crane operator. Something i have always wanted to become. I was wondering what the job market is for a tower crane operator vs a mobile crane operator? Also what is the salary comparison? Also how to get my foot into the door and become one. Thank you!
You have to be able to do simple trig to figure what your crane is capable of. You will have to become a member of the crane workers union. Someone may have to die to make a space for you. You may have to take jobs that are just fork lift qualified, if you are lucky, you might find work at seaports unloading cargo ships. You may have to work your way up through the ranks as a wrecking ball operator. The very lucky will make 50-60K +. The really good ones will make more only after many years.
Q:Plus why the symbiot instead of bringing the dark side of the carrier brought the gay and jerk side?
    1) Something happened to the crane - it doesn't matter what - it was an excuse to bring out spiderman, What happened isn't important. It was a kind of malfunction anyway - NOTHING to do with any villians 2) Gay and jerk side? He wan't being gay, but because he was a jerk in the first place that is why he didn't really know how to dress up properly and being up himself means he doesn't recognise it - which by the way, was well scripted into the movie. It was a bit of a comic relief. The symbiot brought out the darker side of him but that doesn't mean it KNOWs to make him behave appropriately.
Q:why was the japanese crane hunted for its plumage in the 20th century?
    At okorder /
Q:Today, a crane collapsed on the Grand Mosque in Mecca, killing 87 people. Is God punishing Muslims for 9/11?
A god that did that would not be worthy of worship. You need to re-think your beliefs.
Q:On the wing chun T-shirts they got i print of a crane and a snake what do they mean and the yin and yang?
Without the breaking bones part, and unless weapons are involved the main ways a street fight would differ from MMA is eye gouges throat strikes and groin kicks, most martial arts have that anyway its just not something that can realisticaly be practice, what can be practiced and tested are punching and kicks and so far there has not been many wing chung students who have demonstrated that their punching and kicking style is better than Muay Thai for example, so since its too dangerous to test poking another guys eye out... MMA is where martial arts are put to the test Oh and i have seen some Wing Chung guys fight in MMA, as soon as they get in the ring they switch to what looks like a kickboxing style, real fighting is alot dirtyer than practice
Q:Please help me. I have to write and essay about it and i cant find it on the web!! no anywhere i can get it from ONLINE?!?!?! any particular search engines?
