Q:how do they get cranes on top of building sites?
It's crazy but they actually use the crane to build itself!!!
Q:How difficult is white crane boxing? Where can I find a teacher near Cleveland, Ohio? I've never tried any type of kung fu.
It dosen't matter if it is hard or not, just practice lots and you will be good it. Training in any martial art will be hard at first and the first few months will be HELL. If you can survive three months of suck you will stay, and after a year you will see major progress in your skill and fitness. I never did kung fu but i did karate, taekwondo, boxing, brazilian jiu jitsu and japanese jiu jitsu so i know stuff about this. when finding an instructor try to find a non profit place, they don't look to steal your money and they teach because the have a passion for their martial art. if you don't have any non profit then find a quality gym. if it looks like **** the that could be the quality of the instruction but watch the classes anyway. if instruction looks good and the students preform well join the gym. you can find a school with google
Q:What category is a Crane bird?
I KNOW I KNOW! -birds-
Q:how a tower crane for a high rise building construction is erected?
Depends on the type - if the building is not that tall, the tower crane could be built by any taller crane (either a mobile one or an existing one on the site). If the building is very tall, a self-erecting crane is usually used; this type has a sort of jack mechanism somewhere in the tower (usually near the bottom), so as it is needed, the existing tower can be lifted, and another tower section is inserted to raise the entire structure, repeating the process as needed as the structure the crane is building gets taller (thus, the crane is building itself as it goes along).
Q:How does a crane get down from a skyscraper once they're done using it? Like the crane on top of the skyscraper, do they get take it apart?
realdolby is correct. Small crane from parts that can be transported in service elevator is brought up and assembled. It is used to swing out and lower larger crane's parts. Then the small crane is broken apart and taken down in elevator.
Q:I was wondering how those guys/gals get up to their posts. Is there some type of elevator or do they climb up everyday? I'm talking about those big cranes on contruction sites. the huge ones.
They climb a ladder up the middle of the central tower. I saw 'it' on the History Channel. .
Q:What can paper crane symbolize?
I don't know what just one means. But making 1000 paper cranes is a symbol of helping someone live if they are near death.
Q:Yeah, I think I know what cranes are used for. But in the context of building an apartment and so on, what is the role derricks there. And why is called cranes and derricks - What is the correlation between them.
Cranes are used for lifting heavy equipment. Derricks are used to drill for oil. They are two different things.
Q:In Scottsdale AZ I have never noticed them before this year. They are on the walls all around our doors.
cranes leave their habitat because the first reason was the climate , second its mating season and lastly scarcity of food in their habitat during winter .
Q:Is Fireplace Crane a modern term for the swing-out metal arms that hang over a fireplace for cooking? e.g. like in dutch ovens or pots/cauldrons that hang over a fire.It sounds like a more modern term and I need to know if there is an older term. Thanks.
I can't think of older terms at the moment, but definitely 'fireplace crane' sounds modern, and possibly American, to me. In Britain I have never heard the term, not in any historical or modern setting. My idea of a crane is a big item at a dockside or on a big building site. A domestic hearth or kitchen is too nice a place to have a 'crane'!
