Q: I am working on a device to be powered at a remote village in Africa where power is scarce and the power grid shuts on and off all the time everyday. The device works fine but now I need to consider how to power it. My device doesn't consume a lot of power. It is a microcontroller that operates at 5V and maybe draw around 1A of current. Q: I went to one of the major banks in Australia as a non-customer with $80 worth of $20 Australian notes wanting to exchange them for $10 Australian notes and they said it will cost 10% ($8) to do it. With debit cards because of holds and actual transactions you should have 2 times the amount needed in your account to be safe from fees for over drafting. Big deal the power is out-make due what is so important really to spend money for a night of no power.
