Q:How do weighted wheels go up hill?
The wheels in this ad would have a heavy weight attached at the top of the wheel. After the wheel is nudged, the weight would be off to the side of the centre of balance, and it would roll over as the weight moved to the bottom. Try attaching a couple of coins or a magnet to the inside of a can and watch it roll.
Q:Could someone please explain in detail the difference between rear wheel drive cars and front wheel drive cars and 4x4 cars. Also could you explain the benefits of the 3 types of cars. Thanks alot!
Front wheel drive: it's the cheapest and lightest. Front two wheels propel the car. Rear Wheel drive: two rear wheels power the car. Good for drifting. Bad in inclement weather. Weighs more than front wheel drive. It's considered the layout for driving enthusiasts. All Wheel Drive/4x4: All four wheels power the car. Heaviest. Hurts gas mileage. Great for snow, rain, and inclement weather.
Q:I‘m about 5‘ 1 and I‘m looking for a new bike. my friend says the wheel needs to be 4 feet but that would be between my elbow and my shoulder and that is HUGE! So how many inches should a the bike wheel be?
Do not listen to your friend, as they have no idea what they are talking about. Have you ever seen or ridden a bicycle with a 4' wheel? No. If you are serious, go to a local bike shop and have them size you for a frame. An improper sized bicycle can make riding uncomfortable and put undue stress on knees, hips, and back.
Q:I bought a skateboard and it says on the box the wheels are size 54/36 And i want to replace the wheels. Well, I go online to look at better wheels and i see the different sizes. Such as 55mm, 58mm, 50mm etc, And the closest size i see to the listed size on my board is 54/100A. Is this the right size? Remember that the box only says 54/36 not 54/36mm or 54/36A. Please help!
They are 54mm.that's it, you can pretty much have ANY wheels size you wants as long as it'll fit under your board. If you have to low of trucks an dto big of wheel you'll get wheel bite(wheels rubbing the bottom of the deck). Wheels really depend on what type of skateing you want to do. For mostly street skating not so much park you'll want 52mm-55mm, and you'll want them to be a softer wheel. soft wheels grip better to all types of terrain, hard wheels slide better and don't grip to well. Good for park or vert. The bigger the wheel the faster it'll roll. You also want a mid size wheel like 52-55 for street because they won't stop on rocks or cracks making you fall down they'll roll better over them. I like 53mm wheels the best, never had any problems with them and my style of skating is mostly street. I would never get a wheel under 52mm for any style of skating just because it's not really needed.lots of people will say you'll be able to flip a skateboard better for tricks with a small wheel.not true. you'll flip a skateboard better with practice, don't blame the equipment for bad tricks. I started out on old school decks that where super wide and super heavy and did just fine. The 100A is a hard wheel, the higher the number the harder the wheel the lower the number the softer it is, so like say you find a 54mm that says 54/80A that's a pretty good wheel for street, stay in the 80's up to mid 90's. Especially if you're just starting out the better the grip you have the best you'll learn.

Brake caliper, friction plate, brake disc, cylinder, master cylinder, brake tubing, brake pedal, ABS + EBD
Q:Tire tires should rely on a pressure ring to force the tire on the wheel, right? I remember a child watching tires, that is, I have a problem, whether it is disc brakes or drum brakes, are to let the wheels stop, but if the tire is not connected with the hub, then a car so heavy, very Easy to cause slippery, when the wheel does not turn the wheel, but the tire or continue to turn, but in fact the tire after the tire is also stopped, how is it done? Just by a pressure ring I think so there will not be so much force to tire tight and the hub connected to a bar? How is this done?
The tire's bead seat is fixed to the hub edge and pressed by the lock ring!
Q:what were the first cars wheels made of; why were they so skinny (like on steam cars). where they just iron or wood? perhaps they were solid rubber.
The very earliest cars were little more than carts with engines. They were made by coach builders and the wheels were wooden, originally with iron tyres - which literally 'tied' the wooden spokes together - hence the name. Many early cars were also built with wire wheels, which resembled bicycle wheels. Wooden wheels often had solid rubber tyres - these were quite thin. Although pneumatic tyres were invented as early as 1888 by John Dunlop they were used for bicycles, and few early cars with bicycle-like wire wheels. Michelin experimented unsuccessfully with pneumatic tyres on an automobile in 1895, but it wasn't until 1911 that reliable tyres with inner tubes were developed. Wooden wheels with solid rubber tyres were still used on trucks and buses into the 1920s, and many cars had wooden wheels until around 1926, when welded steel and wire wheels came into vogue.
