- You ll have trouble finding a lot in a 24x 24 tile wholesale/retail or other wise. These are a more pricey tile since the size alone makes them hard to handle, transport and produce. Your chance are better off in a 16x16 or 18x18 tiles because of getting that many you can pallet pricing and get a discount. Unless you have a builders license your not supposed to be able to buy them wholesale but you can get a deal in that quantity through your mom and pop flooring places. You may be able to find a deal at your discount places, but a lot of that tile is close out and discontinued tiles which I don t recommend when getting that amount.( may not be able to get more should you need it.) This is not a quiz question where you are showing how smart you are by getting the correct answer. The asker needs to know how to calculate it. In that respect Ency's answer is as much use as a plastic teabag! Ok there are 12 inches in a foot. Therefore placing the 12 inch edge down the 12 foot side, means that 12 tiles are required to form each row. Then 15 feet converts to 15 * 12 = 180 inches. Therefore as the other edge of the tile is 10 inches, 180 / 10 = 18 columns Therefore you require 12 * 18 tiles = 216 Answer 216 tiles

I know most people will say you need to put down a sheet of hardibacker, but I don‘t see the point. With a top grade thinset, these tiles will definitely adhere to the board extremely well. Grount lines will be extremely tiny and I‘m going to double seal everything with a really good sealer. I don‘t see anyway water is going to penetrate these tiles and thinset and get to the particle board. That‘s really the whole issue, right?
- I agree with you. You will always need to be aware that there is a possibility the tiles may come loose one day and need to be fixed. Tile adhesive on plywood or particle board may react differently than on backerboard. If budget is a problem, I would try it.
