Q:An oxygen ion has a -2 chargeHow many protons and electrons does the oxygen ion have?and An aluminum ion has a +3 chargeHow many protons and electrons does the aluminum ion have?
If there is room for more insulation then you can add itThe Kraft paper would need to remain on the inside against the drywallIt would be easier and neater to just throw out the old insulation and put in new kraft faced battsThe cost difference would not be that much If you did just add to the existing you would have to pull down the existing and install unfaced batts insulation and then re-installed the old kraft face batts over them The kraft paper is an important vapor barrier.
Q:I made a white cake last week and frosted it with buttercream, but after a day of refrigeration the cake became a bit too moist which made it taste thickShould I bake a sponge cake next time? I have baked a Hot Milk Sponge Cake before; is that different from a normal sponge cake? Thanks!!!
Put the chicken and some marinating sauce in a metal baking pan or glass baking dishMake sure the sides are deep enough, 2-3 inches highCover the top with foil, seal the edges to capture the steam underneathBake an hour so soIt's that simpleCarry out of the oven with oven mitts, potholders, or dish clothes to keep from getting burntGood job!
Q:Anyone know where I can buy a custom tube (wood, aluminum, or plastic) with the following dimension.??I.D: 4.0625 inchesO.D.: 4.1875 inchesLength: 1 inch (can be longer, of course)Ive been looking all over the net for custom plastic manufacturers but no success as of yet. Thanks!
IF I understand your description of the issue, we are NOT talking about the insulation on any wires, BUT instead an insulation blanket installed between the light bulb(s) and the metal of the fixture base aboveIF that is the case, that insulation is designed and installed to keep the heat from the bulb from heating the metal base and subsequently cooking the insulation on the electrical wires above/inside the baseTherefore, I suggest that you DO NOT remove the insulation, but use as little tape as possible to lift the insulation above the bulb(s)I also agree with the suggestion of a previous answer, that you should replace the conventional incandescent bulb with a fluorescent type bulb which operates much cooler, AND uses less electricity.
Q:Also how long approxwill it take to smoke the two 5 lbs butterflied chickens? Thanks for any help.
If you're using a conventional charcoal or gas grill, most recipies recommend using an indirect grilling method (which means that the chicken will not be directly over the fire) with a medium fire (350°F to 375°F)This should take about 1-1.5 hours, turning the chicken every 10 minutes or soCook until the juices run clear (or the temperature of the meat is about 170°F for the breasts and 180°F for the legs and thighs)For gas, put wood chips that have been soaked for at least 30 minutes in an aluminum foil packet with holes in itFor charcoal, sprinkle the soaked chips directly on the hot coals at grilling time, and then again as needed for the smokey taste you're afterFor charcoal, build the size of fire you would for normal grilling (about one single layer of coals), but when the fire is ready, separate it and put an aluminum foil pan underneath for the drippingsYou may also want to put a pan of water or juice as recommended in the answer aboveIf the grilling time is going to exceed an hour, add 5-10 more coals to each side of the fire at about 45 minutesIf you're going for a more authentic smoked chicken, reduce the size/temperature of the fire, use more chips and extend the grilling time accordinglyHope this helps.
Q:do you boil baby yams b4 or after u peel them?
I usually eat my ramen with some veggies and a sunny side-up eggOtherwise, I've heard people crush them up and season them (like the poster said above), and eat them as a snack or put them in saladsYou could also add some wonton dumplings, meat, or anything else that you'd like a soup noodle dish.
Q:Is there something simple I can do? Please help
I ve been lining the drip pans with foil for over 30 yearsIf you change the foil each time there s a spill, or at least once a week for dust, your drip pan doesn t lose it s shine and rust from repeated washingsYou can even buy aluminum liners to put in the drip pan in the store, and I ve never even heard of a fireBy the way, I don t fry foods, but if I did, I d change the foil after such unhealthy cookingWhy would I allow grease to stay in the drip pan? THAT S a fire hazard with or without aluminumIt s called common senseIf your kitchen range starts a grease fire, it s because you don t know how to take care of a kitchen rangeCall a G.Etechnician, and ask, you ll be told the same thingI can t believe the ignorance of people in a kitchen!
Q:It has an aluminum foil paper. It smells great. Is it harmful to the human body? How can I get rid of it?
Aluminum foil for food can be wrapped on both sides, and it is generally recommended to enhance the heat transfer effect with bright bread wrap. HistoryThe original foil is really made of tin foil, aluminum foil is hard, will also bring a tin taste in food, which later aluminum prices reduced, replaced the aluminum foil foil in daily life there. However, because of the influence of aluminum on the brain, the surface of the existing aluminum foil is coated with aluminum to avoid the release of the metal.
Q:any good lasanga recipes with cottage cheese instead of ricotta cheese?
A square foot of aluminum foil is around four centsIf you want to reuse it, fineWe recycle in California so it gets reused anyway.
Q:I just got a microwave,.tons of questions.like can I cook an egg in the microwave? What type of containers can I put in there (plastic, paper, glass, aluminum foil)? Anything I shouldn't ever do.please let me know:)))
You should never put in anything metal that didn't come with it unless it is designed for microwave use (like a turntable)That includes aluminum foil and jar lidsNo plastic unless you are sure it is microwaveableMelamine plates are not microwaveableMost recently made plastic and plates have information as to whether or not they are microwavablePyrex is excellentDon't use the fine chinaYou should get a plastic food cover to contain spattering and prevent cleanup You can poach eggs in a microwave and a special holder is made for this purposeBe sure to puncture the yolkI can see no reason for trying to cook eggs in the shell and it could create a real messOther egg dishes that are cooked in a pan should continue to be cooked in a panMicrowaves cook by increasing the molecular movement of water, which creates heatThat's why foods cook all the way throughFoods that have little water don't cook wellI think the best thing is that we no longer throw away leftovers.
Q:I want to do my own version of the many 'what happens if you put this is in the microwave' type videos.Except, I want mine to be different. Is it possible to set up a camera or a webcam and put it IN the microwave to record the action without damaging the camera itself?Like, do I just coat it in lead foil or something (I don't know).Or is there some kind of heat and radiation proof camera? Thanks! And sorry for the long question :)
Have someone familiar with power tools cut out a portion of the microwave door and then epoxy some pretty good plexi glass in thereThen just sit the ol' video camera on a tripod in front of it.
