Q:Just curious i also want to have my ps3 in good condition so i was wondering how durable is the power and av cables
they would last for years if you dont pull them or stomp on them... they are that good!
Q:It isn't the standard power cable, it ALMOST looks like a power cable for a playstation, except it has round on both sides and not just one...Can I JUST buy the plug for it? I lost it when we moved and I need it to make Xmas Cards HAHA
Check okorder they may have part and express shipping Merry Christmas
Q:i just got a new motherboard but after reading throuhg the manual i coudnt get any instructions on which cable goes which way. pls i need some one to help me. all other connections are okay i suppose but afraid to just connect the power, and the reset button cable any how.
Well... if they're the big white plastic plugs, then you aim the clip for the notch and you're good to go. If they're the smaller plugs that look amazingly like jumpers... then your motherboard should have come with a diagram to show how to plug them in. If not, look on the motherboard and see if you see metal pins with text closeby that says things like PWR SW or RST or HDD LED or PWR LED, or something similar. Generally, the text will point in the direction that the plug needs to go. Also, you generally want to make sure that the open metal part of the plug faces towards the inside of the two rows of metal pins (should be a row of 4 and a row of 5). Hope that helps.
Q:i have a 12V battery and a y power cable. will each side get 12V?
no u will not get coz current will be split and corresponding volts also
Q:my mom just ordered the kinect package for $149 but i didnt realise until after that i needed the extra power cable for the kinect controller (motion sensor thing)... and i dont have the $50 to get it either so if anyone has purchased this already does it come with the power cable or do i need to start trying to sell my xbox to upgrade to the slim?
the xbox slim does have a different power cable and a speical slot for the the kinect cable as i brought one the other day you would have to buy the new xbox slim i should think
Q:does anyone know a website that has like a chart with pictures of the different power supply connectors and where in the desktop computer they go all I know is the 24 pin goes to the motherboard and the 6 pin goes to my graphics card
I take it that you are referring to a desktop. OK, so you got those down already, notice that there are several cables with 4 connectors, those give power to optical devices, like the dvd burner or the hdd, if the hdd is ATA, i it's SATA, then is a red cable with black terminal, there are suppose to be two of them, one with a small terminal to transfer data, the other one with a bigger terminal to give power. Notice in the heatsink, this is the little fan that keep cool the processor, is a 4 pin terminal, in the mother board, connect the cable that goes from the heatsink to this terminal. For the start button you must search for the mother board that is installed, they are all different. From the power supply perspective you are OK, you can't go wrong with the rest of it. Have fun with it.
Q:I am trying to find a 4 Pin Fan Power Splitter Cable or my computer since I only have 1 4 Pin Fan Power jack and I want to use 2 4 pin fans. I am having a really hard time trying to find one in hamilton
Before hooking that up, check the specs on your motherboard to see if that fan header will support loads from both fans. You may need to get a Molex to 4-pin converter and power directly off your power supply.
Q:So my aunt gave me an old NES, but all she had was the system itself and a few games. She didn't have any of the wires. Luckily I found this retro game store near me and bought a few cables that I thought was all I needed (The power cable so it would actually turn on and the audio video cord) but apparently I need something else? I'm not quite sure.....Does my NES just not work? The red light comes on when ever I press the power button but there is no picture on the screen! Is there something I'm missing? Did I put something in wrong??? There is another spot in the back for another wire but I don't know what it is. Any help would be awesome.
I don't forget playing Dunk Hunt for hours and hours with that gun. Tengen Tetris used to be so much better than the Nintendo version. I still have mine somewhere, together with my NeoGeo, my 3D0, my Sega CD, my Atari Lynx and my Sega Genesis.
Q:I don't know what to do. I bought a monitor from someone on OKorder over a month ago. He said the person who packaged the monitor accidentally put my cables in the box with another monitor he sold to someone else. For a month now he's been quot;trying to find a solution. He said he looked at electronics stores, but never found anything. I already paid a lot for the monitor, and can't afford to buy the cables again. (because I already bought them with the monitor from this guy...)WHAT CAN I DO?
You can't really do anything. OKorder is full of scammers, and you just got scammed. Next time go big or go home, because this time you were sent home.
Q:The power is a 24 pin and does not have a green wire. It has a grey, 6 red, 3 blue, a yellow , an Orange, a purple, a dark blue, 8 black, and a brown
MATERIALS 1.) power supply 2.) power cable 3.)paper clip Step 1 Plug in the Power Cable to the wall, and then into the back of the Power Supply. Make sure the Power Supply is flipped to 1 and not 0. I like to remember 1 is for power because 1 looks like I, and I have ADHD. So I always haves me some powers. 0 is like O which is like my OH face. Then I am drained of power. Step 2 Take the paper clip and bend it into a 'U' shape. We want the two ends of it to be next to each other, or relatively close. Step 3 Now we are in the final step. Locate the Green wire on your PSU. There should only be one Green wire, whether you have a 20 or 24 pin power cable. Alright, we found it. Now we get have to find a Black wire on your PSU as well. There are a few, but we should be fine. Finally, take the paper clip and insert one end into the Green wire and the other end into any Black wire. And there we have it. Your power supply is alive and kicking. Again, this is a good way to test fans for functionality, CD-ROMs, and Floppy Drives. Almost any component that will plug into this is fine. I would not advise for your hard drive in case of data loss, but if it's a questionable hard drive (why else would we test it?) then you I'm guessing you don't care if it has anything on it, or it's too old to matter.
