The crane is a horizontal-arm-rest trolley-amplitude upper-revolution hydraulic lifting type crane which has the maximum working amplitude of 56m, the independent lifting height of 40m, the adhesion lifting height of 150m, the rated lifting moment of 710kN•m and the maximum lifting moment of 853.2kN•m. Q:I'm curious: It's lifted in sections I believe. Once they're at their intended vertical height they then start to construct horizontally. Bit like big boys Mechano (not sure if I spelled that correctly).

Q:I started to make 1000 paper cranes to make a wish come true and before I start I have a few questions. How many times can you make 1000 cranes to make a wish come true? Do you have to string them? And how long do you have to make them?: You only have to fold 1000 to make your wish come true. It doesn't matter how long you take on them, but they should look acceptable if you'd like to display them. All you really have to do is fold all 1000 cranes; you do not have to string them, but I think it looks very nice. You could also put them inside of a jar. :)

Q:Im hearing this like every day theres more going down..why is it happening? A terrorist plot perhaps? I say we send some troops to stand guard and prevent another tragedy!: These are dangerous peices of equipment, they endure high stress and are at times pushed to the physical limits. I have on occassion worked with and under them and always had a lot of respect and always felt safer when away from them. Construction cranes in particular are more dangerous because they are forever changing in height,position, amount and type of load. Cranes in permanent installations are ususlly carrying same or similar loads. Construction sites are hazardous due to many factors but just about everything on site gets handled by the crane at one time or another. Inspection,inspection, and re-inspection with concurrent correction/adjustment are the only preventative measure availble beside the assurance of competency of the operator. There are plenty of laws about them already but this is not to say new ones might be justified as new hazards become apparent. Most terrorists are too dumb or lazy to get involved with cranes--why bother when so many easy targets are out there !!!!!!!!

Q:Is boom truck a crane truck? Are they the same or two different kind of truck?: they are basically the same except a boom truck usually has a trailer and is used to haul things like limber or roof trusses

Q:Trying to find an estimated weight for a mobiles crane with a 5 tonne capacity ?: It is not the weight of the crane alone that matters. But to some extend if the crane is light, this could create a torque when carrying a heavy load and the crane could collapse. Therefore I am speculating that inorder to lift 5Tonnes, the crane must be more than 5 tonnes to balance out the moments resulting in a torque The internal structure of bolts and trusses must be able to handle heavy loads and their are several calculations done to find each forces acting on the members of a truss.
