- Q:The green light on the back of the power supply comes on when the power cable is plugged. also, every time i plug in the power cable, the fan on the power supply wants to spin, but it stops. - Make sure all the cords are properly hooked up properly. I recently bought a new PSU and forgot the most important cord, the main board. Also, make sure the cord for turning on or off the computer didn't come off the motherboard. If that isn't attached, no signal will be sent to turn on the computer.

- There's a third connector you might have noticed, which is the jumper pin settings. You don't need to play with that -- the jumper pins are there for you to set your hard drive into 1.5 GB and 3.0 GB speed modes. By default, it's set to 3.0 GB. - You're talking about a molex/peripheral to the 6pin pci express adapter? some come with them, some don't should of checked the box, if it's supposed to come with one then take it back and say that it didn't come with an adapter. A lot of high watt power supplies come with pci express power cables, are you sure you don't have one?
