Q: What is the level of transparency of colored plastic tubes?
The level of transparency of colored plastic tubes varies depending on the specific color and thickness of the tube. Generally, colored plastic tubes are less transparent than clear ones as the color pigments can obstruct the passage of light to some extent. However, the transparency level may still allow some degree of visibility through the tube, albeit with a colored tint.
Q: Are plastic tubes resistant to impact?
Yes, plastic tubes are generally resistant to impact due to their flexible and durable nature.
Q: Do plastic tubes have any limitations in terms of flexibility or rigidity?
Yes, plastic tubes have limitations in terms of both flexibility and rigidity. While they are generally more flexible than metal tubes, they can still have a limited range of flexibility depending on the type and thickness of the plastic used. Plastic tubes can also be rigid to some extent, but they are not as rigid as metal tubes. Therefore, their degree of flexibility or rigidity may vary depending on the specific application and the requirements of the task at hand.
Q: Regarding NG feeding tubes how difficult is it to take care of someone at home with one? My friend's daughter is coming to stay with me for a little while and her daughter has an eating disorder and is currently being fed with a tube. Her doctor is going to show me how to feed her with it. I was just wondering if this was going to be really complicated or fairly straight forward. Anyone have experience with NG tubes who would like to share their experience using it?
It is fairly easy. It's just a plastic tube from her nose to her stomach. Don't put anything too hot or too cool. Room temp for liquids, unless otherwise noted by the doctor. But let her tug on it, keep it taped down, too! If she has been fed by NG for a while, I'm sure she will know what to do.
Q: It comes in a plastic bag, no information is on it such as what plastic number it is. Tried google but nothing relevant is coming up.PLEASE LIST RESOURCE.Thank you.
I had a lot of trouble with my lungs for a number of years after I contracted chicken pox (went into my lungs). I ended up with quiet a bit of tubing. I had fishtanks, and that tubing is perfect for conecting different air hoses in fishtanks. Same stuff you purchase at the pets stores, and pay quiet a bit for. If you don't have fishtanks yourself, you can offer it to someone who does. It can be re-used on fish tanks quiet safely for the fish. You can offer it for free on Craigslist or Freecycle to someone with fishtanks, if you don't know someone personally. ~Garnet Permaculture homesteading/farming over 20 years
Q: Have you ever noticed it becomed increasingly difficult to stop unwanted back flow of paste towards the sealed end of the plastic tube. Unlike the earlier metallic tubes which could be rolled up from the bottom and be self retaining, the plastic tubes cannot be wound up into a permanent situation but always unroll to a flat state. I have ideas for a simple solution involving no external gadgetry to fiddle around with, maybe you have ideas too?? Keep it simple. Thanks
use a clip that is used for closing off chip bags you just stick that on the end. then as you use the toothpaste you can push the clip up thus stopping the toothpaste from flowing backwards into the end of the tube. and pushing the toothpaste up you. just remember to clip the clip when you do this.
Q: Also if this isn't safe then how unsafe was it when some kid spilled a whole container of mercury on the floor in my class and started playing with it. Ya anyway i would never touch it.
Your Hg is safe in the tube and MUCH safer than some kid plating with it with his fingers. The expression Mad as a Hatter comes from olden days when the felt on hats was applied with a mercury paste by workers using their hands
Q: What are the disadvantages of welded steel pipe and plastic pipe?. More points, bonus points
Welded steel pipe is continuously online production, the thicker the wall, the greater the investment of the unit and equipment, the less economical and practical it is. The thinner the wall thickness is, the lower the input to output ratio will be.
Q: Do plastic tubes have any limitations in terms of clarity or transparency?
Yes, plastic tubes do have limitations in terms of clarity or transparency. While some plastic materials can be highly transparent, certain factors such as the type of plastic used, thickness, and manufacturing processes can affect the level of clarity. Additionally, over time, plastic tubes may become discolored or scratched, further reducing their transparency.
Q: How are plastic tubes used in the packaging industry?
Plastic tubes are commonly used in the packaging industry for various purposes such as storing and dispensing products like creams, gels, lotions, and toothpaste. These tubes provide a convenient and hygienic way to package and deliver these items to consumers. The plastic material used in the tubes ensures durability, while the flexible nature allows for easy squeezing and controlled dispensing of the product. Additionally, plastic tubes can be sealed effectively, preventing leakage or contamination. Overall, plastic tubes play a crucial role in the packaging industry by offering practical and efficient packaging solutions for a wide range of products.
