Q:Stainless steel versus plastic bowls?
Personally I use stainless steel for my own dogs because ti is easy to keep clean, and doesn't weigh too much when I am carrying 3 large bowls full of food. Plus when I drop them they don't break. The only reason I don't use plastic is because my dogs like to chew anything plastic :P I use plastic for my foster cats and foster puppies and have never had any sort of infection. Personally I think that is some sort of myth as I have never known anyone's pet to get an infection from a plastic bowl. As long as you keep them clean, plastic or stainless are both fine
Q:how is stainless steel produced?
There are 3 basic stainless steels. The Martinsitic, the ferritic, and the Austinistic. The spelling may be wrong on all of them. (Got out of school in 1966 with my metallurgy in 1965. The Ferritic is magnetic and has some resistance to corrosion but the Martinsitic is much more resistant to corrosion. The Austinitic stainless is very resistant to corrosion. The differences are the amount of Chrome and Nickel in the batches. The Austinitic has an 18/8 ratio of Chromium and Nickel with the rest Iron and minor ingredients. The carbon content is very important and these steels are often made in small batches with close monitoring of composition and carbon content. Scrap metals are frequently used with the chrome and nickel being added as carefully selected scrap or even fresh crude stocks. Electric melting is frequent to avoid contamination.
Q:Was steel discovered after bronze?
Yes; a very long time. 1000 years (?) Or even a bit more.
Q:where did WTC steel go?
some of the steel was recycled into a warship. I am not sure at what you are trying to get at with the forensic analysis of the steel. There is no conspiracy involving the towers outside of planes crashing into them despite what a lunatic fringe want you to think.
Q:Steel or nylon strings?
I urge you to read the answer from OU again and ignore the others - who obviously haven't got the first clue of what they're talking about. You pick the guitar for the type of music (and sound) you're after. You can play basically everything on a steel string that you can on a nylon string, plus a whole lot more... And no, a classical guitar is NOT easier to play than a well adjusted steel string with light strings - in fact it's the opposite. A classical guitar has a wide, flat fingerboard, something which makes chords much harder to play. Furhermore, the scale is longer (the scale is the distance between the nut and bridge - the length of the vibrating string if you will). This longer scale increase the distance between the fret (increasing the reach), and also increase the string tension. Finally, the action (string height) is larger on a classical/nylon string guitar as opposed to a steel string guitar which has been properly adjusted. Most guitars off the shelf have an inferior set up for a beginner, and this is why many have this funny idea that a steel string is much harder to play. You may also want to check out guitar body sizes (steel string) that is smaller than the large Jumbo or Dreadnought varieties. In essence, if you play classical music, or classical finger style guitar - choose a nylon string instrument. If not, then get a steel string and have it properly adjusted. Make sure you try out a lot of models as the necks, bodies, woods etc, differ a lot.
Q:Quick ... Does fire burn steel?
Fire doesn't burn steel, fire is the catalyst for steel to react with oxygen and burn though technically it's oxidizing. An intense flame like that found in an Oxy-Acetylene torch will bring the steel to melting point, then the operator would toggle a lever on the torch blasting pure oxygen into the steel causing it to oxidize and fall away from the workpiece. The afore mentioned steel wool exercise illustrates the principle on metal so thin that the heat provided by a candle allows for oxidization with the oxygen present in the atmosphere.
Q:Best steel for a all purpose knife?
There is no right one answer, because the term all purpose knife covers a very broad spectrum. The same knife that would be good for wood carving will not be the same for food prep, and will not be the same for general utility purposes. I'll just give you my humble opinion. For fixed blade, hard use blades. Where you will be doing bush tasks like chopping, carving etc... 1095 carbon is generally the standard. Now, 1095 is a great steel, it isn't the BEST steel. There are other steels that can outperform it. But for the price and availability its hard to beat. For folders, I prefer a decent stainless, like aus 8. It holds a good edge, and will hold up to any tasks you need a folding knife to do. Contrary to what you will read on the internet, stainless steel is not all crap. Its just that cheap stainless is just that, cheap. Stainless steel is only as good as its tempering process, some companies such as boker do amazing things with the steel and make for an impressive blade. Just stay away from crap stainless. So to sum up. 1095 for fixed blades. aus 8 for folders. These are both common steels used by different companies. If you get caught up on finding the perfect steel, you may overlook more important aspects of the knife itself. Unless your fixed blade is mostly going to be a food processing, and skinning knife, then I would suggest a QUALITY stainless as well. Remember that all high carbon blades need to be kept oiled or they will start to rust very fast. Btw, I suggest anyone looking into knives to check out mora fixed blades. Incredibly cheap, sharp and durable. They are the rockstars of bushcraft.
Q:Which gun to use for steel challenge?
Diamond stressful situations the prevalent view of primitive societies as for this reason of a great number of exceptional causes quite. in case you study the e book he thinks that they are easily even smarter than us provided that that when he become once residing with the hot Guinea people he felt that he become once the single which become once boring because that he could no longer do wise duties similar to following a course and different stuff that they do of their daily time. also he thinks they're smarter because that we watch such plenty television, mutually they're actively residing existence. maximum of this counsel you'll come across on information superhighway website 20 -21. i variety of vaguely responded this question reason absolutely i have no theory what pejorative attitude..... i even regarded it up on-line for you and doesnt quite make sense too much.....
Q:Why can't the coil weight be too low?
Because the steel coil is stored in warehouse stacking level, if the coil weight is too low, resulting in a single coil capacity is reduced, so that the steel roll easily crushed and deformed;
Q:What was the Iron and Steel Corporation of Great Britain created for?
To create iron and steel.
