We entered into Solar PV industry in 2005, now we have several plants in manufacturing of a-Si and c-Si panels, and our capacity is 220MW per year. Till now we have already passed all the tests by authorized laboratories, e.g. TUV, VDE, UL.

Q:Chem question regarding using solar panels ....?
It is not that simple. There are 3 main types of solar cells. Monocrystalline silicon is the most efficient and produces the smallest solar cells, and therefore the smallest panels. Poly-crystalline (or multi-crystalline) silicon produces the next most efficient type of cells and are a popular choice. Amorphous (or thin-film) silicon uses the least amount of silicon and also produces the least efficient solar cells. This means thin film system take up more area than the other two; an important factor to consider in relation to possible future upgrades; i.e. if you'll have enough space left to do so. The North (in the Southern hemisphere) or South (in the Northern hemisphere) facing roof collects the most energy. So this biases the roof area required. Your energy usage can be changed. Hot water (a major energy user) could be better using direct solar heating with peak demand boosting, either from mains or solar. There are other possibilities, either to reduce demand or to provide energy from other sources. Not all sunshine hours are equal. Hours around midday are far more productive than hours later in the day. This must be factored in.
Q:How would you build a Solar Panel that can convert Sunlight to Energy, just being on your house roof?
The panels themselves- no. Minimal. For most it is just hosing them off with water as needed to remove dust. Battereis on the other hand are usually needing attention every week to maintain the electrolyte levels. The exception being AGM types. Periodic desulphating may be needed on older setups, but beyond that keeping chickens are more demanding. Batteries are how you store your energy for periods when demand exceeds what the panels can deliver, and at night. How many varies. Factors of how you use energy has most impact. Some people can get by with a few hundred Watts, for others 3 to 5 Kilowatts are needed. For the average American, 5 to 7 Kilowatts as a minimum without some serious changes to how energy is used.

Your three choices are to use it to power an airplane, to power a boat underwater or to power a boat like an air boat. You might also use the air boat concept to make a car. (air car) The air boat might be the simplest to make but you will need a body of water to demonstrate the concept. The air car doesn't have such a requirement.
Q:I want to buy solar panels?
You're unlikely to 'save a buck' much less 'make any money off of it' at the present state of the art. The panels and equipment will cost more than you'll save in the next ten years. That might change with energy prices, but not enough any time soon.
Q:what are bad things about solar panels?
If it is cloudy out, the solar panels won't pick up any sun, therefore they won't work. Also, not all areas actually get a lot of sun, so solar panels would only be useful in certain places.
Q:Reflectors or mirrors around the solar panels.......?
You could (an example of concentrating sunlight is called cloud gain, where the edge of a cloud will intensify sunlight as it passes between the sun and your panels), but that will make your panels run hotter and will probably reduce their life. It's better from a system design standpoint to simply get another panel or two. DK

A 500 watt water heater is very small. Most are over 5000 watts. But even a water heater that small would not heat water with a 95 watt solar panel. Inverting the 24 volt to 20 volt would still give you 95 watts of power. A little short of the 500 needed. Sorry. Solar is cool but not practical for large loads unless you install more panels.
