1. For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?
—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.
2. What is the MOQ for this tile?
—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.
3. Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?
—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.
- Q:How do you tile anyway? thank you
- Its much better too remove the old tile, tile requires a special backing board that the mortar adheres to, you would have to put it over the exisitng tile and it would bring your surfaces out another 1/2-1 or so. I would go to Home Depot or book store and buy a book on DIY tile. You will need to rent a wet saw to cut the tiles. You use mortar to adhere the tile, little plastic spacers in between the tile, then you finish off with grout. If you have never laid tile, I would try find a friend/family member who has, or get an estimate from a professional. It is a very labor intensive job, and you need to be meticulous. If anything is off you can get water problems cause cracking, mold, mildew, etc.
- Q:I need to know if flexbond is the best stuff to use for this type of job for a do it yourselfer. I have never worked with this stuff. I have only used regular thin set mortar in the past. Is it hard to work with?? And to lay the tiles this large do I have to butter the mortar on or can I just trowel it onto the plywood floor?Thanks, Fran
- Tile and use almost as a regular thin set. Flexbond like any stronger thin set will tend to set up a bit faster than standard thin set . This because of the added latex in the thin set. Mix a bit less than normal. Mix and let set for 5/10 minutes and mix again, being very important when using extra modified thin set. Although this is a stronger thin set and will bond to ply wood. - Q:My husband and I bought a house where most of the rooms (kitchen, dining room, entertainment room, den, and laundry room) are all tiled with these Terra cotta like tiles. They are a southern type rusty red and stain easily. My husband loves the tiles and wants to keep them. He‘s concented on changing the color if I want though, as long as I keep the origional tile. I‘m trying to make the house look a bit more elegant/country (Blues, silvers, whites, golds, dark greens, etc. Elegant and formal but still bright and airy) While keeping the tile, is there any way to stain it another color and do some kind of glossy seal? What color might keep that feel? What kind of products work best?
- I wouldn't bother doing it. You could get a sealer the seal the tile because I think I remember my dad saying Terra Cotta tiles are very porous. But I don't think that trying to put paint or changing its color would give you satisfactory results.

- Q:Please help me decide the right color to use. We are renovating our bathroom and I always wanted a navy blue or maroon toilet bowl. - I had a bathroom in a rental once that had peach paint. I didn't think I liked it. I put some mirrors on one wall so that there was less of it and then had a lot of plants and grew to like it. White is nice with peach and lots of lush foliage.
- Q:Installing support bars on bathtub ceramic tile
- Use a nail set and a hammer (gently) to break the glaze where you wish to drill. Then, using a tile bit or carbide tipped masonry bit, slowly drill your hole through the tile. If you use a hammer drill, turn the hammer action off. It will increase the chance of breaking the tile immensely. EDIT: Masonry bit works very well on ceramic, marginally well on porcelain.
- Q:Our new kitchen tile floor was grouted last Thursday (almost a week ago). They did a poor job removing grout from the tile surface - very rough ceramic tile. I‘ve washed and scrubbed, it is cemented on. On top of that I don‘t like the grout color.Nothing has been sealed. So I got some acid wash and a grout stain from Home Depot. The stain says the tile should have been sealed prior to using it, I dont understand why that is. So I dont stain the tile? I‘m afraid if I sealed the tile it would seal the grout, so seems like a bad idea.And the acid wash... is this going to ruin the grout itself? How careful do I need to be about not getting in on the grout? Unfortunately its a large area, kitchen and dining area. 12‘ x 30‘. I‘ll be scrubbing a long time.Any suggestions to make this easier?Thanks!
- First STOP. You maybe going in the wrong direction. The seal is only for the grout not the tile. Almost no tile needs sealed. Do not use the acid wash unless it is made for grout film removal. A regular acid wash will damage the grout between the tiles. Before you try the acid wash, try using vinegar about 50 / 50 with water. Then if that does not work use the acid wash if it is for grout film removal. Follow directions very carefully. this is important because if the acid is too strong it will ruin the grout How if you had the tile installed by a flooring store call them for help. if you contracted direct with the installer you may have to clean yourself. Now for the color question. Grout changes color as it dries. It will not be the final color for about 30 days. Yes you can have the grout stained a different color, but it should be done by a professional.
