- I'm assuming that you mean shoulder press, or military press. From my knowledge, military press is performed in front of the shoulders and shoulder press behind. I also know of many top bodybuilders that will not do the rear shoulder press, or even pull downs behind the neck, as it is arguably bad for your shoulders. If you are pressing or pulling something with your shoulders right back, they are at their maximum range of movement. Military press allows your shoulders to move in a much freer, more natural way. Personally, I'm not convinced that there are any additional benefits to doing presses and pulls behind the neck - you can get all the benefits you want from in front exercises. Don't just listen to me though. Many people still do these exercises and some people swear that they are beneficial.

- Q: I use almay clear complexion foundation, and I am looking for a powder to go over that...i have fair skin so i use all the light colors. I also like the natural look, where it doesnt look like youre wearing.......makeup.. SO.....I purchased almay nearly naked LOOSE powder and liked it, but was scared it was going to make me break out since it wasnt on the clear complexion line, although it is still non clog poring. I exchanged it for Almay clear complexion press powder and im afraid it will dry out my skin? Help? has anyone ever used these items before? If so..what do you like better? I have sensitive skin..gets kinda dry at first, than oily during the day. Thanks
- I much prefer loose powder. It has a more natural look. I have sensitive skin too. So I only wear makeup about 3 out of 7 days of the week. I would say that most likely the pressed powder won't break your skin out IF you don't put too much on AND you moisturize first. I would recommend Aveeno. It has an SPF and doesn't break my skin out bc it's hypoallergenic. I have found loose powder to not clog my pores as pressed does. Try investing in both and use the pressed powder in your T-zone (nose, forehead) where your skin is oily and breaks out more. Then, apply the loose powder on the rest of your face. hope that helps!
- Q: I am a little over 21 weeks pregnant and just recently felt the baby move on the outside of my belly pretty good...acutally starting on Friday we could feel the baby kick or move on the outside if I pressed in the area I felt the baby move. I find myself pressing down, not hard, more often trying to feel the baby move...am I doing any harm? I know this sounds like a dumb question but I am worried now because I haven't felt the baby move as much yesterday and into today and I am afraid now that someone is wrong. Help! Is it bad to press on the abdomen to feel the baby move? Can the baby be felt some days and not others at 21 weeks?

- Q: I can military press 100lb dumbbells (one in each hand) with ease. I've worked really hard to get up to this point, but......100lbs dumbbells are the heaviest that my gym has, so I have to move on to the barbell. Since the dumbbells isolate both shoulders, I should technically be able to military press more with the barbell than I should with dumbbells, right? Does starting off at 205 or 215 sound like a good idea? I've only been lifting (seriously) for about 2 years, so I'm still somewhat of a noob.Thanks!
- Yeah, you can probably do as much as 245 lbs even In my experience (and this is none scientific at all) but in my experience, when I use barbells instead of dumbells for exercises like that (bench press, overhead press, bent over rows) - the amount of weight I can add to each side is almost identical to the weight of the dumbbells. So by that logic, you could add 100lbs to each side of a barbell, making the weight 245lbs HOWEVER, the form is slightly different, so I would advice to start at an even 200 and focus on perfecting the form. be careful with the changes. Watch your chin (you have to move your neck out of the way) and watch your back - you have to squeeze your glutes so your lower back doesn't arch. Also watch the positioning of your hands on the barbell as its slightly different. A narrower grip will work your shoulders primarily, but hit your triceps quite hard. A wider grip will work your shoulders and your upper chest the most.

- Here are some ideas. 1. Try pressing both the left and right CTRL keys at the same time and see if that releases CTRL. 2. Go to Start / Settings / Control Panel / Accessibility Options / Keyboard Options. Turn off CTRL lock if it's on. - There is no definate multiple of your bodyweight that you should be able to squat or leg press. It varies from person to person as each individual has a different proportion of fast and slow twitch muscle fibres in their body. Those with more fast twitch tend to have more explosive power, so could leg press say 160kg 4 times at most, however, a person with more slow twitch fibres may be able to leg press 100kg 15 times. Squatting is a compound exercise, and therefore requires a number of muscles to a) provide the motion and b) to stabilize and support those of part a. Typically, you will be able to squat less that when on a leg press because you have the stability to account for. But, squats are a better measure for lower body strength because it requires all of the links to be strong in order to be able to lift safely. For a leg workout in the gym, make squatting the first exercise. This means your legs are completely fresh. Then do the leg press. This is as if you did the leg press forst, you'd be weaker on the squat and may run the risk of serious injury if you get a 'twinge'. Personally, I weight 80KG and can squat 105KG for 12 reps (going so that my hamstrings are parallel to the floor at the bottom of the movement) but can leg press (after squats) 140KG for 12 reps. So from my ability, it would be about 1.4 times the squat. Machines will vary as each has different friction levels and provides a different path of motion for the body to travel.
