I was wondering if i can buy the phone i want from t-mobile which is a SIDEKICK LX- carbon. and just insert my SIM CARD into it and use it. - I also have t-mobile and they have good customer service well if you buy one for t-mobile i think you can buy the full price which about $200 or they could extend your contract and give it to you with a discount. I would rather just buy the phone. Not having a contract makes you monthly bills a little lower for like 20 less. It does have AIM so don't worry and yes you can just insert the Sim card to you new phone with the same number.
- Q: I picked out this phone on the T-Mobile website, and it won't let me check out. I think it will only let me check out if I choose a monthly rate plan, but I don't need one. - Maybe A Virgin Mobile Phone will work in Canada, but you will be responsible for roaming charges. Also many prepaid services do not allow roaming. So it's better to ask Virgin Mobile. When you are on prepaid, your calling area is limited. With a contract, you are allowed to use the roaming agreements that your service provider has with international phone companies. If you have a contract: yes If you are going prepaid: maybe (call them) The best thing is to go to canada, and get a prepaid plan from a local provider eg. Rodgers. Just buy a cheapo phone for $20-$30 dollars. I took my Verizon and ATT phone to Canada and they both worked fine. (Both are on contracts.)

- Mobiles only work to one network such as O2, orange, vodafone, and will not work with any other sim card. By unlocking it you make it so that any sim card and therefore any network can be used.
