Product description

The Solar System[a] is the gravitationally bound system comprising the Sun and the objects that orbit it, either directly or indirectly.[b] Of those objects that orbit the Sun directly, the largest eight are the planets,[c] with the remainder being significantly smaller objects, such asdwarf planets and small Solar System bodies. Of the objects that orbit the Sun indirectly, themoons, two are larger than the smallest planet, Mercury.

The Solar System formed 4.6 billion years ago from the gravitational collapse of a giant interstellar molecular cloud. The vast majority of the system's mass is in the Sun, with most of the remaining mass contained in Jupiter. The four smaller inner planets, Mercury, Venus, Earthand Mars, are terrestrial planets, being primarily composed of rock and metal. The four outer planets are giant planets, being substantially more massive than the terrestrials.

The Solar System also contains smaller objects.[d] The asteroid belt, which lies between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, mostly contains objects composed, like the terrestrial planets, of rock and metal. Beyond Neptune's orbit lie the Kuiper belt and scattered disc, which are populations of trans-Neptunian objects composed mostly of ices, and beyond them a newly discovered population of sednoids.

Q:I'm about to buy one but I don't really know which one is best for my home.
One will give you enough DC voltage to light a 25 watt light bulb, [ one 45 watt panel is around $400. ] Now if your wanting AC voltage You have to buy a inverter, 5 or 6 deep cycle batteries, a switch Cables to transfer the voltage, a place out side to store the batteries, instalation brackets for the roof A Permit to Install them
Q:I've been reading up on Solar panels because I think in the long run this would be beneficial in the long run. My Dad had looked into it before passing and had said it was too expensive. How much does it range for getting them placed on the roof and how exactly does that work? I think I remember being told that PGE has incentives and could possibly even end up paying you for having it? What does having panels cover? I know electricity but does it also heat things up? Sorry I'm kinda dee dee dee on this lol. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has solar panels can I get your experiences with them? Thanks!!
No matter where you live, home solar panels can be installed by professionals. There are also Solar Home Kits you can put into place on your own for less money. You can convert any type of home or business into one that uses solar energy in order to create electricity. Even if you don’t collect enough sunlight for all of your electricity, you can collect enough of it to significantly reduce what you do use. This is one way we can all help the environment. Before you buy solar panels, you'll need to do your homework. Find out what all of the benefits to you are going to be. In addition to helping the environment when you install home solar panels, you'll be saving money on electricity as well. If you are worried about the cost, find out if there is a tax incentive in your area. There should be a rebate or discounted cost offered by the government to entice people to put solar panels in place. Many construction companies are being able to take advantage of them as well. As long as the new homes they build feature solar panels, they can get some great tax breaks. Unsure about the prospect of installing your own home solar panels? That is understandable if you haven’t taken on such a project before. Yet the process isn’t going to be difficult. You can accomplish it with basic tools and several hours of your time. There are some great videos which will walk you through the process.
Q:How do solar panel power systems work?
The panels soak up the energy from the sun and then convert the energy into power, electricity, etc. They can also store a lot of energy so that we still have power on cloudy days. Does that help? Without more info, its hard to get more specific.
Q:name things someone could use solar panels for or make with solar panels? (use solar energy i mean?)
All depends on how many watts you have. I ran a small boom box off a 5w panel before with no problem. The higher the wattage, the more you can run.
Q:Can the solar panels available be coated with a material (to improve it's looks) and not alter it's efficiency?
No. The only coatings I am aware of are those that reduce reflection so more light gets through the protective surface to the actual cells. Anything thing that affects appearance is going to be reflecting light back to the viewer and the photons of that light are not available for electricity or heat. If the appearance of the panels offends you, then they need to be concealed by a fence of panels around them that do not throw shadows on the panels.
Q:I need to have more information about what are solar panels. will you help me?
Solar power is produced by collecting sunlight and converting it into electricity. This is done by using solar panels, which are large flat panels made up of many individual solar cells. Using solar panels is a great way to generate clean and renewable electricity to power equipment or even the average home
Q:Can solar panels be used for charging electric vehicles?
Yes, solar panels can be used to charge electric vehicles.
Q:Thanks
Solar energy is a renewable energy resource and there are no fuel costs. No harmful polluting gases are produced. Disadvantages Solar cells are expensive and inefficient, so the cost of their electricity is high. Solar panels may only produce very hot water in very sunny climates, and in cooler areas may need to be supplemented with a conventional boiler. Although warm water can be produced even on cloudy days, neither solar cells nor solar panels work at night.
Q:Can solar panels be installed on a historic building?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on a historic building with careful planning and consideration. It is important to ensure that the installation does not compromise the architectural integrity or aesthetic value of the building. Special mounting systems and design techniques can be used to minimize any visual impact. Additionally, local regulations and preservation guidelines may need to be followed.
Q:I've been thinking and I'd like to have solar panels installed on my roof at some point to help reduce our electricity consumption- but I live in IL and in the winter it frequently snows. Is there such a thing as heated solar panels so they don't get coated w/ice or snow? Are solar panels even a feasible option in IL? Thank you, Anna
My brother-in-law has 4 solar panels on his property. Each one is more that 4 times the size of a ping pong table and they automatically swing toward the brightest light (I.e., the sun). They generate electricity almost every day, unless it is very cloudy. He lives in Northern NJ, almost as far north as Chicago. They have been up for about 6 years and seem to be reliable. I'm not sure that a single static panel on your roof would generate enough to make it viable. But contact some people in your area to see how theirs are working out. Also contact your building inspector and electrical inspector to find out how to do the job 'to code'.
