- Q: I was thinking of how I might make affordable wedding chair covers for my wedding, but I have found that polyester is very expensive by the yard. I was thinking of making them with cotton and then making the same cover in tulle to fit over the cotton. That would make it to layers of material over the chair. Does that sound totally ridiculous?
- I guess it depends on how ugly those chairs really are!! If this is what you want, and you have the time to make them, then, why not? However, I would not make the two layers independantly. Rather, I would cut them out and sew them, two layers at a time. You could even stack a layer of solid, a layer of tulle, a layer of solid, a layer of tulle and then cut them all out at the same time to save time and energy. And, like I said, sew them two layers at a time to even save more time. Make a pattern and one chair cover to try it on a chair first to be sure it fits. Also, it might be wise to ask the venue if they intend to change the chairs before you wedding day. I would hate to see you sew a hundred of these covers and then not be able to use them!! I am not a negative person, but I think you should cover all bases to be sure there are no surprises.
- Q: I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and one of my fears is sitting in rocking chairs. I'm always afraid that when it goes back it won't stop and I'll fall on my head. - Erik, You can get a chair massage at any age., because you are fully clothed. As a massage therapist, I will tell you, each state has different regulations governing us as therapists. It's almost standard to have a same sex therapist if you are under 18, and if the minor or parent wants to, they are allowed in the room ( that's for traditional massage -lying on a table) my 6 yr old son, 10 13 year old girls love massage and we go get them frequently. Chair is nice, but nothing in comparison to a standard massage. The key is finding a therapist you feel comfortable with! Happy relaxing! Rachel

- Color can be incorporated easily if you add a slight variation to the game . Color all the chairs in some way and make one or two chairs black . If a student is left without a chair or sits in a black chair they are automatically out . The only way they would not be out is if they sit in a black chair and yell Pardon Please before they sit . Makes them be aware of where the chairs are and what conditions they must fulfill to sit in a black chair .

- NavyBrat - I recently re-covered 6 kitchen chairs and 6 dining rom chairs. They are in separate rooms but visible to each other. I chose 2 different patterns with the same color profile. Different textures - the kitchen chairs have a much heavier texture tan the dining room chairs. I did a lot of shopping and found my fabric at a local remnant upholstery shop. I purchased 5 yards of fabric for $35. The original price on the fabric for the kitchen chairs was $30 per yard and the original price for the dining room fabric was $35 per yard. I do believe I got a great deal. 12 chair cushions for $35. Same color profile - different pattern, different texture. Good luck
