- Q: My brother taught our dog to go up on beds. The dog is a Yorkie. She needs to be picked up to be on the bed. I don't really like her on my bed. - you could try putting her bed on your bed for a while and coaxing her in it with treats then slowly over a week or so work her and the bed on to the floor next to the bed. but in my opinion if you can get rid of the little fleas i would let her sleep with you i say this because im a believer in letting a small doggy sleep with you if they seem to be feeling insecure. my little one sleeps with us every night and has since we got her 10 years ago
