- Q:Ever time I try screwing in my power cable sparks fly.My amp has no off switch.and my car is turned off.wtf?Help me out/
- disconnect the battery dumbass
- Q:I bought a Zmodo CCTV system. The system came with 60' of cable,so I purchased some 165' cables.I would like to have more, but I can't find anything longer than 165' anywhere. Is that the longest size that they manke?Thank you

- Q:I don't do a lot of stuff like this, so I'd appreciate some information about how to do this: basically, I'm trying to route a coaxial cable from outside into the house. The cable is outside, and needs to go through the outside brick layer, then through the wall itself (through insulation?) then through the drywall (through a new outlet plate too).Any suggestions about how to go through the wall with a wire? I'd even appreciate a link to a how-to site as well.Thanks.
- you are going to have to drill a hole thru the brick, a 1/4 masonary bit should do the job. Make sure by drilling a hole in a scrap piece of wood first to make sure the cable fits. Before drilling, go inside the house and cut out the drywall smaller than the outlet plate, which will cover the hole later and check for any electrical wiring or plumbing and move your drilling location if needed. Go back outside and drill thru the brick or block at this point and feed your cable thru. Stuff a little extra cable down in the wall space after you've pulled enough for your interior run. When you are sure you have all you need, put a little silicone caulking outside around the cable at the brick to weatherproof and keep out the bugs.(silicone caulking can be found in almost any color). You can pretty much push the cable thru most any type of insulation you find in the wall. Hope this helps.
- Q:keep in mind this is a 6 yr old machine, the old roms connected the old way, I don't even know the name of the old cables.....
- that okorder /
- Q:i purchased an SATA to IDE or IDE to SATA bidirectional adapter, the problem i have is my PC is SATA and has no IDE power cables for the drive. am i missing something here ? the seller tells me that they have had no issues before. i cannot find a IDE power cable to power the drive anywhere in the PCPC is intel vpro5 1gb ram SATA systemim trying to connect my IDE HDD.thanks
- None of the information you provided tells us anything about the connectors available on your PC's power supply. While it's rare to not have any available 4-pin molex plugs available in a PC, it's not unheard of.
- Q:I have recently purchased a SAPPHIRE 100228L Radeon HD 3850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X HDCP Ready Video Card.
- should have come with a power cable. sometimes these are hidden in a compartment inside the box. take all the inner cardboard out. It would be pretty unusual for one of these cards to ship without the cable.
- Q:im looking at installing an amp and was wondering if its fine to go through the firewall were there is already a group of wires with a rubber seal, i was thinking of poking a hole through the rubber seal and running the power cable through there would this be a suitable option. Thanks
- Of course you can. As many amps that I have installed I have only had to drill one hole through the fire wall. As long as there is a grommet you are good to go. You should be able to open the rubber up with a screw driver. Just be careful not to damage any wires.
- Q:I took a vacation last week in Victorville, Ca and i brought my 360, well when i was ready to come back home i packed everthing but my Xbox 360 power cable, now im stuck at home and can't play my 360 or nothing..=[. And i don't wanna order it online. I need some help where to find this.
- are u missing the whole power source or just the end cable? the end cable is the same power cord has a computer
- Q:He has made a couple of really small slits in the black plastic on the wire, all in the same place, but on both sides. I can see silver through it, but no other colours. I have unplugged it from the laptop and the mains, as I assume I shouldn't use it. However, it is the bit attached to the big square thing (sorry, I don't know what it is called), does that have a charge, so should I do something special with the wire? Also, is there any way to repair it, like electrical tape, or should I just go buy another cable this afternoon?I have a Sony Vaio in case that is important.(and before anyone says, don't let your dog chew the wire, he usually leaves the wire alone, I left him for a couple of seconds and when I came back he was chewing something next to the wire, so I guess he missed! I've learnt my lesson and I won't be leaving him in the vicinity of the laptop on his own ever again!)
- Use a Popscle stick, cut back in 0.5 and then linked it with black tape, this could disguise texposedoed wires and could additionally shop the wires in the present day and shop them from bending. reliable success Joe The previous laptop guy
- Q:I have a power cable for my computer that got slightly chewed and i was wondering does that effect the power.im just wanting to know if it will have less power or will it work the same and as far as i know none of the wires where hurt just the rubber around them.
- replace your cable as its now a fire and shock risk
