Q:Like those three hundred or four hundred meter tall skyscrapers, where are the bottom of these tower cranes installed? It doesn't go up from the ground, little by littleWill the crane not fall down?
A firm foundation is built before the tower crane is used, and then the crane is fixed to the foundation
Q:3years after I quit a job,I am once again looking toward the same field it's just that in my old job they helped me get a crane license when I left the job they kept my certification .How can i get that info without asking my old work for it,or would i have to take the course over?
If it's still valid all you need to do is get a duplicate from the agency that issued it.
Q:If anyone can find me a decent video of a Fujian White Crane Kung Fu simple hand block then I will be very grateful! I know sort of how to do it but I would like to get it spot on.Thanks
There is no simple crane block. This is a myth perpetrated by some of the Hakusturu people. I study Fukien White Crane and I gave you a reference in the question you asked before. Just like there is no crane stance. There are many blocks and stances in White Crane boxing and they are ALL crane blocks and crane stances. The blocking system is very sophisticated and takes hard work and proper mechanics to grasp the idea. Do you have a Fujian White Crane school near you? If you do, enroll in it and learn it the right way - under a trained instructor. I guarantee you that you will not be learning any blocking applications. In the White Crane Arts, you do nothing but Sam Chien for the first three years. So forget this fantasy of learning it here on Yahoo Answers. Edit: Let me correct myself - there are not even any blocks in White Crane Fist. All the movements you see are trapping and grappling techniques. It is an Internal Art so the idea is to trap the opponent and destroy the attack using explosive energy.
Q:How much do you know about construction cranes??
The okorder / to have a look!
Q:Where are levers used in and throughout the crane
the boom itself can become a lever if the load lifted is greater than the cranes capacity and causes the crane to tip over--the weight acts upon the boom(lever)--the pivot point of the boom becomes the fulcrum and OSHA will soon drop by to find out why!
Q:a. its season of migrationb.the route it followsc.how is it guidedd.distance it travels in a yeare.reason behind migrationplz help me..ill be highly grateful!!!!
This species breeds in arctic Russia in Yakutia and western Siberia. It is a long distance migrant. The eastern population winters on the Yangtze River in China, the central population at Keoladeo National Park, India and the western population in Fereidoonkenar and Esfahan in Iran. It breeds and winters in wetlands, where it feeds on the shoots, roots and tubers of aquatic plants. This is a large white crane. Large males can exceed 140 cm (55 inches) in length and weigh over 10 kg (22 lbs). Adults are all white, except for a dark red mask extending from the bill to behind the eye. It has a yellow iris and reddish legs. The male is slightly larger than the female. Juveniles have a feathered mask and buff or cinnamon plumage. The voice is flute-like and musical. The status of this crane is critical, as it is expected to undergo a rapid population decline in the near future. The wintering site in China holding 95% of the population is threatened by hydrological changes caused by the Three Gorges Dam. Historic records from India suggest that a number of them wintered there in the past. This number has steadily declined and the birds are no longer found there. Mr. Rutledge of Entally told me that for twenty years he tried unsuccessfully to get live specimens of this crane, but did not succeed till a few years ago, when he and one of the native dealers got so many that the market was quite glutted, and many were sent to Europe. Since then the bird got scarce again, so this was evidently only a temporary invasion. —Frank Finn, Frank Finn in How to know the Indian waders. 1906 The Siberian Crane is one of the species to which the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (AEWA) applies and is subject of a Memorandum of Understanding concluded under the Bonn Convention. =]
Q:Has anyone made 1000 origami cranes and made a wish? Just wondering
Yes. Also, after the atomic bombs were dropped on Japan, a girl with radiation poisoning tried it, but died after making six hundred and odd cranes. Make of that what you will.
Q:Do self lifting tower cranes allow a small swing of the boom in jacking operation?
The upper working structure of the attached tower crane is connected with the jacking sleeve frame, and a jack jack is mounted on the top lifting jacket frame. The upper crossbeam of the jack is connected with the jacking frame, and the lower cross beam is provided with a movable claw, and the lower supporting point can fall on the step of the standard section of the tower body. During lifting, first trim jib and balance arm, unlock the top are connected with a lifting sleeve frame with the standard section, start lifting system, lifting jack will superstructure.
Q:I saw da construction of the upcoming tallest building in da world in Dubai, how did da crane get on top of it?
Why do you write da instead of the? It's irritating. I apologize to you. That was rude and unkind of me.
Q:Hi, I'd like to know what a crane symbolises in the asian(?) culture. any other meaningful symbols do list.
The cranes' beauty and their spectacular mating dances have made them highly symbolic birds in many cultures with records dating back to ancient times. Crane mythology is widely spread and can be found in areas such as the Aegean, South Arabia, China, Korea, Japan and in the Native American cultures of North America. In northern Hokkaidō, the women of the Ainu people, whose culture is more Siberian than Japanese, performed a crane dance that was captured in 1908 in a photograph by Arnold Genthe. In Korea, a crane dance has been performed in the courtyard of the Tongdosa Temple since the Silla Dynasty (646 CE). In Mecca, in pre-Islamic South Arabia, the goddesses Allat, Uzza, and Manah, who were believed to be daughters of and intercessors with Allah, were called the three exalted cranes (gharaniq, an obscure word on which 'crane' is the usual gloss). See The Satanic Verses for the best-known story regarding these three goddesses. The Greek for crane is Γερανο? (Geranos), which gives us the Cranesbill, or hardy geranium. The crane was a bird of omen. In the tale of Ibycus and the cranes, a thief attacked Ibycus (a poet of the 6th century BCE) and left him for dead. Ibycus called to a flock of passing cranes, who followed the murderer to a theater and hovered over him until, stricken with guilt, he confessed to the crime. Pliny the Elder wrote that cranes would appoint one of their number to stand guard while they slept. The sentry would hold a stone in its claw, so that if it fell asleep it would drop the stone and waken.
