- Q: I have a power adapter that goes to a mixer (Denon DN-MC6000) and reads: INPUT 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz 1.5A, OUTPUT: 12V - 3A. Now I know this is the right adapter but I don't know if I have the right cable that goes from the adapter to the wall. I have one that says 6A 250V~ but I dunno if its the right one. I have a few others but can someone tell me what will be the right one so I don't blow up my mixer :P thanks
- Hi, The adapter to the tip is the important part. Whatever fits from the adapter to the wall doesn't have much to do with anything. Anything that fits the adapter, physically.

- Are you positive you have all the power cables connected properly, the extra 4-pin ATX12V power connector near the CPU, the PCI-E power connector(s) to the video card? Otherwise, if the computer seems to start up for a couple seconds, but then switches right off, the motherboard might be shorting against the case. Did you have trouble getting the motherboard to line up inside the case? Are the motherboard screws centered properly on the screw holes? Is there clearance along all four edges of the motherboard? The other place you can have a clearance problem is the support plate for the CPU heatsink, on the back side of the motherboard. (Or, sometimes, screws behind the chipset heatsink.) The test to see if the motherboard is shorting on the case, is to pull everything out, and hook up all parts separately, outside the case. Set the motherboard on some bubble wrap or something, and hook up all the other parts. If the parts start up and run, outside of the case, then you can start looking for where it might be shorting. (That particular Thermaltake power supply is made by Compucase, and it's a piece of junk. You should think about replacing that no matter what.)

- A 110 ac plug configuration is usually not the same as a 220 ac plug configuration. they look completely different and will not pug into each other...so, I'm not sure how you managed to do that. Now, I am talking about the United States (not sure where you live). Anyway, I'm sure you can find a new power cable online. Or have Best buy order one for you if they don't have it in stock.

- Q: I installed a new Power supply after my old one stopped working. I bought a Thermaltake TR2 500W. I connected everything that needed to be connected but it would not turn on. Then i disconnected the 4pin cable that goes to the motherboard, and it turned on. But my monitor didn't detect anything so it just went into quot;sleep modequot;. So every time i connect the 4 pin PCI-E connection to the motherboard it just doesn't turn on. Please help
- You might have a DOA power supply or motherboard. It might just have problems with the connections. Sounds like the problem is the motherboard if 2 power supplies dont work on it. I would consider getting a new motherboard.

- I would recommend you call Canon's tech support at 1-800-OK-CANON. They should be able to give you the generic information on the type of cord to look for - or they may be able to send you one at little or no charge.
- Q: One day, all of a sudden my amp stopped working. I inspected the battery terminal and noticed their was corrosion on both terminals, cleaned it off, and I inspected the fuse in my positive wire for my amp and noticed the fuse was blown, replaced it and the amp would still not power on, I reinspected the fuse again and it had already blown, I replaced it once more and it did the same thing.
- some were in your system the power wire running the amp is hitting ,ground and blowing the fuse,or your amp is crapped out.are the fuses in the amplifier blowing too.i would hook up another power to to amplifier out in the open and see if your having the same problem.if you do its the amplifier if its all good re run another power wire.with a distribution block and go bigger with the wire size,and you can down size the wire from the distribution block to the amplifier.hope this helps.
