Q: plans for free queen platform bed: Really you don't need any DIY plans. I made three beds for the family - a twin bed, two single beds. If you can afford cut-to- size sawn timber the work load is easirer. First you will have to decide on the exact sizes, make a frame, set in the cross timber which makes the sleeping area or lay a sheet of plywwood cut to size to fit the frame you have made.If you want a bedhead, this is the time to add it on, so with the tail piece. Or if you don't need the bedhead, the task is even simpler. Just firt on the legs firmly in place and you have your bed sans the mattress. In my case I crafted the twin bed so that it housed a linen cupboard under with pull-out drawers. For the childred I had the drawers set in such a way that it provided a suitable housing to hold their shoes, polishing materials, etc.,

Q: Is it safe to use the white pages from a phone book as bedding?: NO!!!! use pine shavings. dont use ceder that is extreamly poisonous to them. it will harm there respitory system. i have been in 4-h for almost 5 years in guinea pigs and have been in 4-h for 11 years. good luck.

Q: So would like a full and a twin pushed together make a queen sized bed?I want a bigger bed but dont want a new bed: Well two twin beds together would create a bed that's wider than a queen but shorter (length wise) than a queen. If you put two twin XL mattresses together you would equal a king. You can't make an exact queen, but you can make a wider bed than a queen with shorter length with two twins. If you put a twin and a full together you would get a bed with again a greater width and a shorter length. A twin and a full together would be much wider (much - like more than a foot longer) than a queen and only five inches shorter than a queen.

Q: I just bought a house and am looking for an inexpensive bed. I've been looking around and finding lots of platform beds for around $200. Apparently they use a futon mattress, which I've never slept on.: Sleeping on a mattress and box springs will benefit your back in the long run. Futons are ok for small,light weight people or kids, but the older u get the more you need the support. A mattress and box springs a like an investment. You need to shop around till u find one you like and then watch for a sale Good luck

Q: have tried several ways to rid bed bugs wash all clothing/bed sheets prof.spraying,bought even new beds bombing home and even steam cleaned everything.. there still around.: I removed the mattress and box springs, and took them outside to the patio. Used rubbing alcohol and perocside all over the mattress and box springs removed the lower covering of the box springs and use the same remedy with bedbug spray... left outside for two days. steam cleaned the carpet and wall around the carpet. I put bedbug killer in the steam cleaner. remove all bed clothing and drapers and put in the dry on high for 1 hour. Removed all clother from the closet and the same process using the cloth dryer for 30 minutes hung clothes outside overnight. cleaned all the walls and hard wood floors.. wax and sprayed. Remove all drawers from dressers and use alcohol there and spray..I had the misfortune of having someone rent a room from me and they knowing had bedbugs and roaches. Thjis was quite a trip. I streamed the hold house. so far so good. It had been 3 months and no sign of roaches or bedbugs. But I cleaned very day for a month and check the bed and clothes. so far so good....it was a mess....He gone, thank goodness.

Q: Ive got a double bed at the moment and its good for when i have somebody sleep or if i just want to spread out. But im having my room decorated soon and my mums given me the choice to decide between my double or single bed. What would you choose? Q: Okay so there is a bed spread i really like at bed bath and beyond, but they are out of stock but they still have the one on the bed for show can they sell that one, and if so it should be discounted right?? i asked an employee but they just said idk...which wasnt very helpful: Just to warn you, my bedspread cost $100 and I got it from there. It's really hard to wash, everything sticks to it (such as hair and dust), and the wrinkles are so hard to get out. I don't know if it was just the one or what, but hopefully yours isn't like that.
