Q:Wiring new appliance to copper wiring in house?
Yes, that is the method that is used. Both are fairly easy to hook up. EDIT: @ 'Intelligent' Pickle: That link is talking about solid aluminum HOUSE wiring being integrated with solid copper wire. The OP has normal solid COPPER wiring in the house. The aluminum wires are on the fan/light, and range hood. From my several years experience as a plumber and ELECTRICIAN, those wires are stranded, not solid. The tapered threads inside a normal wire nut will make a good connection and hold those wires until doomsday. EDIT: Yes, I edited my answer for clarification, and to educate you in reality. You edited your post just to shout a childish insult. It appears that you don't take correction well. Good luck with that as you grow up. @ dtstellwagen: I have seen new fixtures that are wired with stranded aluminum wire.
Q:Wiring harness for 2004 Chevy Venture?
got mine off OKorder 8.00 work perfit
Q:How do you wire two electricle recepticles together?
Just wire in jumpers from the existing outlet, white wire to the silver screws, black wire to the gold screws, and unshielded wire to the green ground screw . Be sure to kill the power before you start.
Q:orange wire from old stereo of Chevy suburban, what wire do i hook it up to on a custom stereo?
This one is the best wire. Pyramid RPB10100 10 Gauge Black Ground Wire 100 Feet OFC Technical Details * 10 Gauge Black Ground Wire 100 ft. OFC * 15/0.25 x 7C,D. 5.0mm
Q:Speaker Wiring Issue(PLEASE HELP)?
usually when you install a aftermarket radio you don't need to do any wiring because its a lot easier if you buy a wiring harness and those wire colors would match the wire colors for the radio so that way you don't have to cut any wires
Q:wire color codes for 94 toyota truck 22re?
The firing order should be 1-3-4-2 (on cap) The cylinder order; from front to back 1-2-3-4 Most distributor caps will be marked with the proper numbers if yours is not you may want to get a more expensive cap
Q:chainmail wire ???????????
Costume or 'Historically Correct'? You can buy soft iron or aluminum wire in any gauge you can 'knit'. ( 14 is about right for Al., 16 for iron.)
Q:Backup Camera Wiring?
You can remove your tail light and tap into the reverse wire there. It is easy to find just look at your reverse light bulb and use a multimeter to test for positive and negative (that would be the right way to do it at least). If your wanting to have the camera able to be on all the time and viewed from the headunit then you would need to wire the camera to switched accessory so it has power when the car is on and hook up your head units wiring (which you will need to do anyway to make the h/u switch to b/u cam when you go into reverse) to the reverse wire.
Q:wire length?
The stretching of wire by longitudinal force: If F force applied across the crosectional area A of wire of radius r and lenght L then the wire elaogates in the dirextion of force Stress P = F / A A = pi* r^2 = (1.5/2)*10^-3 = 7.5 *10^-4 m^2 strain produced = dL / L = increase in length / original L Young's modulus or elastic (stretch) modulus for the maretial, within elastic limits, Y = stress/strain strain = stress / Y dL = F * L / A * Y = F * L / pi (r^2) * Y dL = 400* 1.5 / 3.14 (7.5 *10^-4)^2 * 6.2*10^10) meter dL = 0.005479 * meter dL = 5.479 millimeters increase in length
Q:How do you wire a car stereo?
Assuming the head unit follows the standard color code (there are some cheap Chinese import units that don't) then you should match the head unit wire colors to the harness wire colors. There are a few extra rules, though: -If the harness has a blue wire, and the head unit only has blue/white (no blue), then the blue harness wire should be connected to the blue/white head unit wire. If the harness has a blue/white AND a blue wire, then both of them should be connected to the head unit's blue/white wire. Similarly, if the head unit has only a blue wire and no blue/white, then it should be connected to the blue and the blue/white wires in the harness. -Orange and orange/white can be treated as interchangeable; ie, an orange/white head unit wire can be connected to an orange harness wire, and vice-versa. (If the harness has both an orange and orange/white, though, don't combine them--just use one or the other with the head unit). -Some harnesses have a black/white wire; this can usually be combined with the black ground wire. -Brown and orange/black wires in harnesses should be taped off individually and not connected to anything. -Some harnesses don't have a black ground wire. In this case, the black wire from the head unit will need to be grounded somewhere else. There will usually be wires left over. Make sure each one is insulated so it can't cause a short or contact another wire.
