Q: Just in case the power goes out, I would like to still be able to see where I am vacuuming.Anyone know a vacuum that has an inbuilt light that you would recommend? I know KIRBY make one, but they are very expensive.I am hoping for one at say less than $150 if possible.: If the power goes out, I wouldn't worry too much about vacuuming! No one will be able to see the dust anyway : ) But if you want a light so you can see under couches or the bed while you're vacuuming, I know Electrolux makes a few lightweight vacuums with a little light that aren't that expensive.

Q: How to repair the starting switch of vacuum cleaner?: Make sure that the power line of the vacuum cleaner is removed, and then remove the cover panel to reveal the back of the switch. The switch may be on the handle or cover

Q: please send a website link. if not an answer would do find: I've worked with all the major name brand vacuum cleaner manufacturers (Bissel, Eureka, Oreck, etc...) and the pigmented plastics are almost always ABS while the clear surfaces are acrylic (cheaper models) or polycarbonate which is very hard and durable, and of course expensive. ABS is easy to mold and is relatively fracture resistant, good qualities for this application. It is not clear in color which is why it is normally found pigmented. Polycarb can be molded in a transparent color (ie. tinted lenses for motorcylces) but because of its cost, is rarely heavily pigmented to a solid color

Q: Who makes the best vacuum cleaner - DYSON or ORECK? and why?: I have a hoover right now and it is CRAP. The plastic parts break, the door covering the bag is hard to get on and off, and it falls over when you're using the attachments. Eventually I got rid of it and got a cheap Kenmore from Sears. Much better vacuum, and it didn't have that annoying habit of falling over. Dysons seem gimicky to me. Oreck over-priced. It's nice to have attachments such as a crevice tool or the one with a brush.

He works 12 hours a day and will come home and help clean or cook etc... only thing I really have to do is care for my son..... Q: has anyone used one of those automatic vacuum cleaners??: Yes, they only work decent on wood floors,and it takes them a very long time to do the job, you can do it yourself in a fraction of time compared to how long it takes the robot to do it and some time it won't get the whole area, justs keeps on cleaning the area it just went over, I think they are worthless, just a novelty devise.I'll sell you mine if you really want one (LOL) oh... and they are worthless on tiled floors.

Q: I've had my Dirt Devil bagless for only a few years. It was running just fine before we moved to our new house. Our new house has berber carpet. My vacuum does not move well on this type of carpet with a lot of dragging. What is a smooth flowing vacuum for very low carpet?: Oh boy! This is a good one! I've got a Bissel (Clean revolution). I wanted it for the ease of onboard attachments and also good suction. It's 3 years old, works GREAT when it's clean, but the filters (and they are numerous) are constantly getting clogged with fine dust/dirt. Not to mention dog hair, which I know will be an issue. I've found the 'dragging' you describe can be somewhat remedied by changing the direction you push the vac. The nap of the carpet has something to do with it, though I can't explain the scientifics. ORECK is the BOMB!! They are Awesome when it comes to power, also DYSON (Especially with animals, and you have the convenience of on-board attachments.) The downside to both is they are outrageously priced! Dirt Devil is pretty good too. Try changing the level on it to med. or even high. On my Bissel if it's set too low the beater bar won't even spin...clean/change the filters often, especially with a pup. Best of luck, my friend! (Who'd have ever thought vacuum cleaners would turn in to a MAJOR appliance purchase?)

Q: It is a small gear that goes on the brushroll which the belt attaches to turn the roll. The vacuum is a shark navigator nv22 and have looked on several site but all I come up with is filter parts. Can someone point me in the right direction to were I could by individual parts if there is any: Look around for a guy who repairs them. We have a guy that sells used repaired vacuums at a flea market just outside of town.
