- Q: where can you find the Saturn V blueprints in metal gear solid portable ops?
- Go to the Silo Complex Entrance area and check the buildings in the north-west section of the map. I'm not sure which one it's in but I think it's in one of those two buildings.
- Q: What could I use
- Your question doesn't make much sense, but if I understand you, if you leave food out on the ground near where he is, chances are good that he'll come down by himself to eat.
- Q: How does a time capsule look like?
- Like a medicine capsule but bigger, lunchbox, silo it really depends
- Q: i get to push the german soldier down and i remain hanging from the rail but i cant get to climb up,i keep falling down. please help thank you
- RED ALERT VIOLATION!! This is not the gaming section. You are asking a bunch of drunks how to get back up after falling down, is this right? Crawl up the leg of a nearby lady. But first make sure that she is not hanging out with bigfoot. Otherwise you can do the same using the bar.
- Q: In order to properly maintain a silo, a farmer must have the cement inside of the silo resurfaced from time to time as the acid associated with filling a silo with silage eats away at the sides and causes spoilage and structural damage. The cost of the recementing process is directly related to the lateral area of the inside of the silo.Find the lateral area of a silo 50 feet tall with an interior diameter of 16 feet. (The top sphere is not cemented).
- The lateral area (does not include the floor of the cilo) will be the inside circumference times the height. A = pi * diameter * height = 2513.27412287 square feet
- Q: A silo is to be constructed in the form of a cylinder (only 1 of 2 bases included) topped by a hemisphere. The construction cost per square unit of surface area for the hemisphere is 2.0 times as much as for the cylinder and the volume must be 840000 cubic feet. If construction costs are to be minimized, what should the radius be?
- The surface area of the cylinder (including only one end) is AsubC = πr^2 + 2πrh (base plus side) The surface area of the hemisphere at the top is 1/2 the surface of a sphere with the same radius or: AsubHS = 2πr^2 Let c = cost per square foot for the cylinder, then Total cost = 2c2πr^2 + cπr^2 + c2πrh or TC = c(5πr^2 + 2πrh) Volume depends upon whether or not the hemisphere is included. The problem is considerably messier if it is included, so let's assume not. V = hπr^2 = 840000 ft^3 This allows us to solve for h in terms of r fairly simply giving h = 840000/πr^2 which may be substituted in the surface area cost formula to provide an expression for the surface area cost in terms of just the radius. or TC/c = 5πr^2 + 2πr(840000/πr^2) which simplifies to: TC/c = 5πr^2 + 1680000/r to find the minimum of this, differentiate wrt r giving (we will ignore the constant c, since we assume it is non-zero). TCprime(r) = 10πr - 1680000/r^2 solving for 0 = 10πr - 1680000/r^2 gives 1680000/r^2 = 10πr or 53503.18 = r^3 cubert(53503.18) = 37.68ft. = r Provide h by substituting back into the equation for h in terms of r. This yields h = 188.42 ft. I have tried to be careful with this, but cannot be absolutely certain that I have not goofed someplace on the algebra or calculations. I strongly suggest that you review this carefully yourself. If you decide that the volume of the hemisphere on top is included, the volume becomes: V = 2πr^3/3 + hπr^2 So the expression for h is not quite so simple.
- Q: Your first task is to help Farmer Joe. He wants to fill his silo with soya beans and repaint the outside of it. He wants to know how much the silo will hold and how much paint he will need to paint it. The silo is 18' in diameter and 32.4' high, the height of the semi-circle top is 4'.
- Okay, you've got to combine a couple of equations here: Surface area of a cylinder = 2πr^2 + 2πrh So, because you won't be painting a flat top or a bottom, we'll ditch that part of the equation, leaving us with 2πrh. Now, since we've got a half-sphere as our top, we need to use the surface area of a sphere equation, which is 4πr^2. BUT, since we only have half of a sphere, lets divide that by 2. (4πr^2)/2 So now, to find the surface area of the WHOLE thing, combine our two equations. Silo + Top 2πrh + (4πr^2)/2 Now insert your values, plug and chug. 2π9(<---Because the radius is half of the diameter)32.4 + (4π(4^2))/2 583.2π + (4π16)/2 583.2π + 32π is the surface area. To find volume, we use even MORE equations. We'll need the volume of the cylinder, which is π(r^2)h And the volume of a sphere, which is (4/3)π(r^3) But remember, since we only have half of sphere on top, we'll need to divide that equation by two. ((4/3)π(r^3))/2 Once again, we'll combine the equations. Silo + Top π(r^2)h + ((4/3)π(r^3))/2 And then plug and chug. π(9^2)32.4 + ((4/3)π(4^3))/2 π(27)(32.4) + ((4/3)π(64))/2 π874.8 + 42.67π is the volume. Remember to add your units! They should be feet squared for surface area and feet cubed for volume.
- Q: Silo's height is 12M, dia is 2.5M, total load is 80MT, silo is floor mounted and fixed with 4/leg 1000mmX20mm anchore bolt at the base plat. Ancore bolts are welded with the reinforcement iron. Thanks a lot.
- Hi That`s what I would use.
- Q: Serious answers only...show all work.
- A= Pi R^2 A = 3.14x10^2 A = 3.14x10 A = 31.4^2 A = 985.96 FtSq
- Q: Near populated areas in China. NOT grain Silos...Have the usual configuration of nuclear silos in the WEST!
- I suspect you are talking about cooling towers. Coal, gas or oil fired power plants can use cooling towers, as can nuclear power plants. Missile silos are usually underground and rarely have smoke or steam coming out of them unless something is very wrong.
