If its ceramic, Porcelain or any kind of hard, individual tile, you should not be using floor adhesive, you should be using thin set (mortar) as an adhesive. The only way that wouldn't work is if your floors are so uneven that you can' get a good 'grab'. In that case, the floors need to be floated.
