FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q: My bathroom size is 7 ‘*11 ‘. If I want to use 20*20 tiles, will it look good? I want to use bigger tiles because I don‘t like grouts. Can we put anything to make the tile not so slippy?
The tile will look fine if you do either a diagonal pattern or an off set look Off set pattern can be either a brick look, like every other row 1/2 tile offset from the other row or you can do every row 1/4 of a tile of set. This helps break up the bigger tile in a smaller area. Using these types of patterns ( off set) you can use a minimal grout grout (1/8) to make the grout be less. Use a grout that matches the tile.Medium colored grouts show that least day to day dirt. Seal the grout well and it ll stay cleaner longer . If the floor is properly prepped, and the tile set properly, they won t crack as some one suggested. There are a few products that you can use on ceramics to make them less slippery. One is called B-Safe, made for commercial kitchens . But you can only do so much to make tiles less slippery when water gets on them. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
Q: I have a tile floor in a basement bathroom. These are small 2 inch tiles and I would like larger 8 by 8 inch tiles on the floor. Do I need to remove the old tile or can the new tile be laid right over the old tile? The subloor is concrete slab.
If down secure you sure can but there are a few extras you have to do. First the top tile must be clean ,dry and oil free. You must use an extra strong this set, at least stronger than you normally would. Third and very important. You must allow at least 1 extra day for the thin set to dry before any foot traffic. I like to do 2/3 days if possible. If you don t let them dry, they ll seem hard but the thin set bond can break w/o you knowing and he tile will fail at a later date. If you have any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
Q: How to Clean Granite Tiles ? What are the best methods which can be used for Granite Tile
kerosene and turpentine
Q: Has anyone every used Ceramic Tiles to re-do bathroom floors? I‘ve seen it done on HGTV but just wanted to knw if it was really that easy?
We've tiled a few rooms, it's not hard, but it takes time and practice. Here's what you need to know: Laying out the grid can be time consuming, but very worth the trouble. Cutting tiles straight across or boxy is easy. Curves are more challenging- don't expect a perfect arc. You don't have to do glue down the tiles all at once, but you do want to do the grout all at once. DEFINITELY use the spacers that you can put ONE in the middle of the four corners and stick above the tiles to pull out easily. The tiles need to dry in the glue at least a day before grouting. Consider the color of your grout as carefully as the color of tile you buy. Mix the grout carefully and use a tile sponge to get the grout smooth. Carefully clean as much grout as possible off the tiles. The grout must dry at least a day before sealing. You should re-seal your grout to maintain your floor as directed on the sealant. The spray on sealer is magic for smaller areas. A large area might get expensive and more time consuming?
Q: We‘re renovating an old house, and the ceramic tile on the bathroom walls is just awful. I‘d like to replace the wall tile with beadboard. The tiles appear to be mortared directly onto the drywall. Is it a good idea to install the beadboard directly over the ceramic tile? Or should we chip of the tile or remove the lower portion of the drywall? I‘d like to do this as easily as possible, but not at the risk of shoddy workmanship. Also - all the beadboards I‘ve looked at are either painted or primed on the front surface, with a bare wood surface on the rear (glued to the wall). Is it advisable to paint/prime the rear surface as well before installation? With all the steam and moisture in a bathroom, I can envision the panels buckling. Is there a particular paint/primer that seals off from moisture particularly well?

Q: The grout in my bathroom is cracking bad and i just had it installed a little over a year ago. I called a different tile guy to look at it and tell me why its cracking. So im trying to figure out who riped me off or whos trying to rip me off. this new tile guy said the grout is cracking because the other tile guy didnt pull the old vinyl up. I remember the other tile guy told me that the vinyl was my moisture barrier so i didnt need anything put on the floor other than the glue ( or whatever you call it) So this new tile guy is saying thats the reason why my grout is cracking because he needed to pull up the old vinyl and the grout would continue to crack until that was done. So that means i need my whole floor re-done with new tile.....so is this new tile guy telling me the truth. Can you install tile over vinyl?
All I can say is: its on the whole now not a excellent concept to position it proper on best. It turns into much more likely for it to arise. And then the procedure of taking on a layer of laminate and a layer of ceramic tile might be that a lot more difficult while it got here approximately. I suppose the one technique to make that paintings with out taking on the ceramic tile is to make an air tight seal among the two. I could not supply you any strategies on how to try this although.
Q: I want to remove all the white tiles in my kitchen as some are broken, others don‘t match up and basicially who ever tiled it initially may have been intoxicated, some have come off easy, but others are stuck on tight, tried using a chisel hammer to smash them, but they would splinter and smash like glass, does anyone know a easier less messier way i can do this?
Hopefully there is an under layment and the tile are on this. Some times getting under the under layment is easier. Use of long crow bars and a friend is easiest. Ripping it all up at once. Getting a wide masonry chisel under the tile edge will also work at times. There is no ONE way to do this, each job is different. You have to adapt and use elbow grease.. Wear SAFETY equipment. Eye wear , long sleeve shirts, gloves and ear plugs to keep out flying chips. Cover all cabinets and doorways to help keep dust at bay. Any other questions you can e mail me thru my avatar .. GL
Q: We live in Phoenix and have a tile roof; most likely concrete tile. One of the tile on the lower level roof has somehow gone missing and I am trying to find one to replace it with. I don‘t think HD and Lowes sell roof tiles and I have tried to look up in yellow pages and am only finding roofing contractors. Where do you think I can just go and buy one tile. I won‘t need an installer as I can do it myself as it is on the lower level roof that I can access with a small ladder. Also tile is the one at the bottom so I won‘t need to climb up on the roof either :) Only logical suggestions are appreciated.
HI, H.D. OR LOEWES MAY HAVE THEM . IF NOT, CHECK OTHER HARDWARE STORES OR ASK A CNTRACTOR OR ROOFER WHO USES THOSE TILES. A BUILDING SUPPLY CO, NOT H.D. OR LOEWES WOULD HAVE THEM FOR SURE.
Q: How to seal new Porcelin Tile
Porcelain tile is not porous so sealing is not recommended and can make it slippery like a sheet of ice...You can seal the grout in between though.
