Q:Watercolor strokes on how to remove tiles
First, the first use of flat shovel shovel most of the paint, and then wipe with a rag can be removed, pay attention to not hurt the surface of the tile.        Second, you can also make tiles cleaners        1. Prepare a bottle of 500 ml of mineral water, pour out half;        Take a bottle of soap powder;        Take two bottles of vinegar;        4. Take three bottles of alcohol;        5. Add half a bottle of flour;        6. Shake the mineral water bottle to make it even.        With the time, only need a spray, a rub, easy to get.
Q:cracks in my bathroom floor tile?
Yup she crayz ! Bad tile guy ! I don't know what cause there lot he could of done to mess it up or the framers ,plumers, there not any thing u did I'm sure of that ! Well if u can't get out of it the good new It's a small bath sounds like an u could do a better job for not that much . Well not enuff thin set ,he used mastic, plumer cut jous, bad framing, not ataching to jous, dry mixed thin set , dust on tiles, wet tiles when installing , I'm sure there's more , not ur fault!
Q:Ceramic Tile, Floor vs Wall?
It depends on the exact tile and where you are putting them. Some say wall tile on a show board ( for example) but can be used on floors also in certain areas of the house ( bath rooms 1/2 baths) If they do have a real shiny surface on them , they ll have a 0 rating , meaning walls only. Some other that say walls , that have a matte finish, can be used on the floor in baths. These have a 1-2 rating for slip resistance. Putting the tiles down properly is the biggest thing to be concerned with. Almost any tile put down properly wil not break. Any questions you can e mail me thru my avatar and check out my qualifications there. I ve sold and installed tile for over 20 years now. GL
Q:should i tile my new shower ceiling?
I would indeed tile the ceiling. Just be sure the bathroom is well vented with all the hot steam in the room. Just search for good easy cleaners. simple windex on the ceiling? not much soap up there?
Q:Tiling countertop?
I personally would rather have hardibacker. Flooring people in my house right now repairing the floor and a joist because it was not used. Not even in an area that gets a lot of water exposure. Consider how often the counter gets wet and cleaned. That may change your mind. Also, you will need to reseal this more often than the product recommendations because of the amount of wear that is involved. Granite is also pourous and can vary on the quality. I just asked the tile/granite guys that are doing my work. Said they would not recomment it in tiles - sheeted granite is a different story.
Q:can ceramic wall tiles be laid from the ceiling down?
Why would you want to work from the ceiling downward? That makes little sense. One of the reasons you work from the bottom up is that the thinset isn't completely up to the task of holding up the weight of the tile before it's set. It holds the tile against the wall well enough, but the tile simply rests its weight on the surface before the thinset sets. Starting from the top down, you'll probably find the tiles slumping out of position before you can get the next course in place, and that will slump, and the next and the next.
Q:Can you use non gloss tiles for the shower stall?
You can use any tile for this.Just make sure to waterproof the walls before you stick them.
Q:How can the glue on the tile be removed? Is there any good way?
Depending on the degree of adhesion on the tile, you can try to get rid of the following methods: 1. We usually use the wiping oil painted to evenly, slightly with nails to pull out the part of the first pull out, the rest of the wet towel to wipe off. 2. With a hair dryer blowing with plastic parts, the glue can be very easy to get off the bar. 3. Spray the oil spirits in the location of rubber marks, after a while a plastic mark that is out, may wish to try. 4. With alcohol + eraser can also be, although this method is more tired, but the effect is good. 5. You can take a piece of vinegar covered with a rag to cover the whole place of plastic marks, until the plastic sticky stains completely wet, you can use the ruler easily removed. 6. If you can, first with blisters, and then coated with a little detergent, and then look at the effect of old toothbrush brush. 7. with a cloth dip tip or Erguotou wipe will have a good effect. 8. With soap plus a little nitrogen and turpentine mixture, you can also remove the glue marks. 9. with a good sticky transparent glue repeatedly tear sticky sticky place, you can also remove some, so that glue marks no longer obvious. Coated with a little bit of sodium water and then rub, a wipe off, or paint thinner can also be used. 10. With a cotton swab dipped in nail polish or sesame oil wipe, glue marks can be removed. 11. Use a special cleaning agent or sports shoes to remove the ointment. 12. If it is left for a long time and has hardened traces, you can use a hot towel to cover it soft, and then try the above methods.
Q:Hard tiling question.?
If you are tiling a 2 * n rectangle with 1 * 2 tiles, you would line up 1 tile along the end measuring 2, then, becasue the other dimension of the tile is 1, you would need n tiles For 2 * 2 tiles you would do the same thing except that each tile would cover 2 units of the side that is n units, so you would need n/2 tiles
Q:I need my floor tiled. What is a good floor tile? What is the going sq/ft price to lay a quality tile floor?
Anything that is real ceramic tile is good. Think about texture, cleaning and what the room is used for when choosing. It usually runs from $1 to $8 a square foot depending on which you choose. If you are planning to do it yourself you will need the proper tools such as a tile cutter, grout, and a base flooring etc. This will cost you up to $300 for everything but would save lots of money on labor etc. Don't buy the cheapest tile cutter! This is one of those things that you get what you pay for. Hope this helps.
