Calcium Silicon Powder
1. Description:
Silicon Calcium Alloy is a stable compound; it is supplied in the form of solid with approximate melting point of 1245°C and boiling point 1800°C in normal atmospheric pressure.
Solubility in water reacts with moist gas and water.
Silicon Calcium Alloy is a potent deoxidizer and desulfurizer utilized in the production of high grade steels. Although Silicon itself is a powerful deoxidizer, Calcium is by far more powerful. In addition, Calcium Silicon is used to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions improving fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact properties of the final product. Calcium Silicon can be obtained in lump or powder form. The most widely used method for intergraded steel applications is in the form of cored wire. This is mainly because calcium has a low density and high reactivity in the ladle making it difficult to introduce and retain in the melt. Cored wire eliminates these variables.

3. Application:
(1) Silicon calcium alloy is an ideal deoxidizer and desulfurizer.
(2) CaSi is generally used in manufacturing steel of high quality and low carbon, and the same as the production of stainless.
(3) CaSi is also served as a starting material for other special alloys, such as nickel base alloy and titanium base alloy.
(4) Silicon Calcium Alloy can also be used as the inoculant of cast iron and the additive in the production of nodular cast iron.

- Because they are metal for christ's sake. I mean really what the f*ck is up with people and their narrow definition of metal. If it isn't old school stuff or Scandanavian Black Metal crap or something it's poser metal. Seriously my copy of Master Of Puppets is 21 years old (still plays too), but I guess I'm a poser then because I like bands like AILD and Killswitch Engage and the ultimate sin for metalheads Slipknot. Seriously if I'm a poser because I like that stuff then kiss my a*s. BTW about 20 yrs ago someone told me a band wasn't worth checking out, I ignored him and bought it anyway, found out he was wrong, and to this day still like Voivod.

- True metal... Well there are different types. There's doom/stoner metal like Sabbath, and then there's stuff like speed metal such as early Metalleca and Pantera. Also I'd consider bands like Judas Preist to be metal... Then there's stuff that could be considered 'nu-metal' like Slipknot, Korn, and Deftones. ALSO you got all other types of metal inbetween like death metal, which I don't really listen to much... And Industrial metal. Idk. I like types like Sabbath, Pantera, Korn Deftones and Slipknot though. What about you?
