1,Cast Iron Manhole Cover Description :

manhole cover is a removable plate forming the lid over the opening of a manhole, to prevent anyone or anything from falling in, and to keep out unauthorized persons and material.

Manhole covers are often made out of cast iron, concrete or a combination of the two. This makes them inexpensive, strong, and heavy, usually weighing more than 50 kilograms (110 lb). The weight helps to keep them in place when traffic passes over them, and makes it difficult for unauthorised people not having suitable tools to remove them.

A manhole cover sits on metal base, with a smaller inset rim which fits the cover. The base and cover are sometimes called "castings", because they are usually made by a casting process, typically sand-casting techniques.

5,FAQ:

We have organized several common questions for our clients, may help you sincerely:

Q. Can I fit a square manhole cover into a round chamber?

A. Yes, there are a select few manhole covers which are square-to-round, meaning they will fit square or round chambers. These covers are the T1G3, CLKS 450SR/46SL, CLKS 450SR and 300SR.

Q. I have a heavy traffic manhole cover but it has been broken by a forklift, why?

A. Forklifts have solid wheels which apply pressure differently to standard pneumatics and therefore covers must be specially adapted to suit this.

Q. I installed a recessed manhole cover in my garden, filled it with grass but it’s just dying; what can I do?

A. We produce bespoke GrassTops which feature drainage holes and geotextile membranes, allowing the water to drain through and your grass to grow. These are also suitable for other infill materials such as chippings, gravel and suchlike.

Q. I’ve measured my clear opening size but none of your covers match it, can you offer anything?

A. It’s likely that your cover is quite old and in imperial measurements which are no longer manufactured. However, we can offer bespoke solutions with manhole covers made to the specification you require.

Q. The project I’m working on requires a manhole cover with a quality finish, what’s available?

A. Naturally, galvanised steel of black polypropylene aren’t always ideal, and so we offer brass or stainless steel edging, as well as complete stainless steel covers.

Q. Odours are coming through where I have installed my manhole cover, why?

A. Your cover must be sealed and locked, or neoprene sealed, so you would require a T-Range Cover, or if you require a solid top, a selection of the PC range (e.g. PC2BG3, PC6CG3, not PC2BG) are suitable.

Q. I need access through my manhole cover on a regular basis, is this possible?

A. Yes, the majority of covers have built-in lifting keys, and for those that don’t we also supply lifting keys. However, the best way to obtain easy access is to have a bespoke, hinged manhole cover.

Q:I'm really lost on this one I can never really tell the differince between any metal so I couldnt tell you which type Ilike.Theres Power metal,Black metal,Death metal...Like whats the differince???
. . . . thrash came after Heavy Metal Its still around whats playing today is whats called Nu Metal, this is your Disturbed, Slipknot, ect, ect bands like Anthrax, Slayer, Metallica, ect ect are still playing and recording but they're reaching the end of their careers, no one can keep that going forever. So its not dying its just that all the big names are slowing down.
Q:Whats the best metal and hard rock music that is newer?
heavy Metal is a form of music originating in blues-based hard rock, and acid rock. It involves a hard beat, loudness, distortion, and a massive amount of POWER. Thats what metal si to me. Metal has to sound powerful. From 30BPM drone metal to massive thrash beats, ti all sounds powerful. The only exception really is gothic metal, which really doesnt have much aesthetic similarities to normal metal. Also, to be considered metal, it has to have a direct descent from classic heavy metal. for example, although Black metal doesnt sound much like classic metal, its real metal because it came directly from other forms of metal. unlike, say, Nu-metal, which features vast influences from alt-rock and rap. Also, metal DOES NOT have to eb fast. I have to point that out.
Q:What happened to the metal scene in the States? In Europe, S. America and other places great metal and it's various sub-genres is still being produced. Especially right now the symphonic/gothic/power metal sound in Scandinavia is especially strong. I've always been drawn to the epic sounds, intelligent lyrics, and musicianship found especially in thrash and progressive metal.

Q:Okay, I don't know what the heck nu-metal is...people classify so many bands as nu-metal and those bands all sound different! So tell me, is this nu-metal?
Epic Metal huh? I'd have to go with Dimmu Borgir, I could like get-off to Progenies of The Great Appocalypse. lol. If you consider Dragonforce as like metal kind of, they're pretty epic, I love Fury Of The Storm, Starfire, and Through The Fire And Flames So I choose Epic Metal. Sorry I didn't put that on the first time.
Q:Can any modern metal detectors (civilian or otherwise) estimate the amount of metal it is detecting? If this is true, can it also detect the amount of each individual metal it detects?Example: If a penny was buried, could a metal detector tell the user that it detects X amount of copper, etc?
First metal song you ever heard? Iron Maiden- Fear Of The Dark) First metal album you ever bought (Megadeth- Countdown To Extinction) First death metal song you ever heard? (Children Of Bodom- Are You Dead Yet?) First death metal album you ever bought? (In Flames- Lunar Strain) First black metal song you ever heard? (Mercyful Fate- cant remember name of song) First black metal album you ever bought? (i wouldnt do that to myself) First doom metal song you ever heard? (Type O Negative- my girlfriend's girlfriend) First doom metal album you ever bought? (Type O Negative- October Rust) First shred song you ever heard? (Yngwie Malmsteen- Rising Force) First shred album you bought? (Yngwie Malmsteen- Rising Force) Thrash Song- Holy Wars Thrash album- since countdown to extinction isnt considered thrash its rust in peace.
Q:What are two synthetic metals (not naturally ocurring) on the periodic table??
It depends on their stability with other elements. The charges determine how many electrons it is giving up to a non-metal.
Q:Can you name some bands that are nu metal?
Metals are not usually referred to as corrosive. Metals are corroded by air, water or other materials. In the sense of corrodability, I think the activity series of metals would be what you may be looking for. Metals at the top are most susceptible to corrosion while those at the bottom are the least. Cesium is near the top and reacts rapidly with air or moisture. Gold is near the bottom and is highly resistant to strong oxidizing agents like nitric acid.
Q:heavy metal songs
The reason for these subgenres is not because they are begging for attention. It's really because there is a necessity for all of these subgenres. Black metal sounds completely different than post-metal for instance. It's necessary. Heavy Metal was a established as a genre a while back, and has gone through evolution. However, I would like to correct the genres that you have listed. Pirate metal doesn't actually exist. It's just a term used for bands who use pirate lyrical themes. Pagan metal is an umbrella term for bands who sing about paganism. Christian metal fits into the criterion listed previously as well. Mathcore is more so a subgenre of punk. Screamo is also a subgenre of punk. Now with musical diversity, it is necessary to categorize different musical types in different genres. It makes way for ease of access.
Q:which do you like more?and what game from that series?me:Metal Gear 4 from Metal Gear series.what about YOU?THANKS!
These are the 7 metalloid elements (boron, silicon, germanium, arsenic, antimony, tellurium, polonium) they have some metallic properties but not all them. The other elements in these groups to the left of the metalloids are metals and the rest are non metals including two gases (nitrogen and oxygen).
Q:Any good nu-metal or alternative metal bands?
Death, Black, Speed/Thrash, Shred, Doom, Progressive, Power, Grindcore, Rap(metal), Industrial, Goth, Nu, Classic, Alternative (although many would argue that alternative metal is an oxymoron) Off the top of my head, this is all I can think of Death: Morbid Angel, Obituary Black: Mayhem, Emperor Speed/Thrash: Slayer, (vintage Metallica Megadeth) Shred: Jason Becker, Yngwie Malmsteen Doom: Winter, Candlemass Progressive: Rush, Dream Theater Power: Hammerfall, Iron Maiden Grindcore: Napalm Death, Dead Infection Rap: Rage Against the Machine, Korn---again many would argue this one type Industrial: Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy Goth: Type O Negative, Carnivore Classic: AC/DC, Black Sabbath other heavy groups that flourished out of the 70's---many of whom many could categorize in other genres Nu/Alternative: Slipknot, Marylin Manson...another debatable type More info than asked of...I know
