- Q:I really dont get it . I have listened to a lot of metal songs . That really confuses me . - Metal and rap often fight as to which is a more talented genre of music. I dont like rap in the least but I do admit there is talent involved in the genre. I am a lifelong metalhead and listen to mostly thrash, but also black metal and death metal. I think metal listeners mostly fight with each other as to which subgenre of metal is better. For example Nu Metal (terrible stuff... eg, Slipknot) verses Thrash ( True Metal... eg, Slayer)

- Progressive, but really depends on the band. Symphonic. Power. Heavy Metal. Thrash, Industrial and Sludge use what I call aggressive/harsh vocals - clean but shouting a lot. MDM and Metalcore often use a mix of clean and screams. Nu Metal use clean, aggressive, screams, growls and rapping. Post-Grunge and Alternative Metal. Doom Metal, again depends on the band. Carbohydrates, amino acids, proteins, lipids, etc. contain carbon. Similar is the case with nitrogen and hydrogen. The role of oxygen and carbon dioxide is known very well. Chlorine is present in the gastric juice as hydrochloric acid. This list will be endless if I go on talking about each and every element. What you need to understand is: Without metals or non-metals, life is not feasible.

- Metal is a broad term for any kind of metal. Death metal is completely different than all of the others on this list. Thrashcore is barely even metal. It's much more punk sounding. Crossover, yes, is a cross between hardcore punk and thrash metal. @Sweet: Suicidal Tendencies is crossover. Thrashcore is stuff like Cryptic Slaughter or DRI.
