- I define metal as any music that is unacceptable by the mainstream crutch called the media. Now, for the kicker: I don't believe metal should be classified as heavy/ hardcore/ death/ doom/ power or otherwise. Metal is metal is metal to me. Sure, Agnostic Front has some unique vocals, and Dragonforce has some superb guitar licks and such, but they both have one thing in common: both are metal. I don't listen to certain bands, simply because they don't have the sound that I'm looking for, but there's always those bands who will strike my interest.
