Q: I'm assuming it's because it has a lot of positive metal ions? Is there something i'm missing or is there more to it than that?
Just take fiber-con tablets
Q: So, my current fork's tube length is about 8quot;, I'm getting a new fork around 9.5quot;once installed people sometimes have these little rings to put onto the tube till your handle bars are high enough so its not 100% concealed on the tube just like 5MM aboveIs that necessary to have those spacer things?
Spacers are used to raise the stem up until the bars are at your preferred heightAny steer tube that protrudes above the stem once the bars are high enough is cut off about 1/2 the height of one spacer above the stem, a star fangled nut is installed in the steer tube, one spacer is installed above the stem, and the top cap is installed to hold the stem in placeIf the steer tube is aluminum or steel, a tubing cutter can be used to cut the steer tubeIf the steer tube is carbon, a hack saw can be used with a cutting guide.
Q: I'm making dumplings and all I need to do is fill them and cook themThe filling and the dumpling wrappers are just sitting on my counter right now, hahaI don't have a steaming basket, steamer, rice cooker, etcWhat I usually do is just pan-fry them slightly, add some water, and cover the pan to let them steam, but is there another way?Thanks in advance and hope you all had a nice Spring / Easter break from school / work(:
You can steam foods just elevated inside a lidded pot or pan, with simmering water in the bottom In other words, make your own steamerSo for example you could put an inch or so of water in pot or pan or wok, etc, then add some elevating things like balls or logs of aluminum foil or even another plate or bowl-possibly upturnedThen put your plate of dumplings on top of the balls/etc so water won't get to the dumplingsThen start heating the water till it's simmering and put a lid on top of the pot/pan/wok so the whole thing becomes a steamerSteam till done, then remove the plate carefully since it will be quite hot or only the dumplingsYou can use any combination of lidded pot, pan, wok, etc, you have that will fit the dumplings plus whichever kind of elevating thingies and plate/etc you decide to useYou don't want the dumplings to touch the lid though, so make sure there's at least a tiny bit of head roomAnd you also need at least a little room around the rim of the plate-with-dumplings so the steam can rise from the simmering water and get into the top area where the dumplings are, but it doesn't have to be muchDumplings are very sticky though so you might want to put a sheet of parchment paper under them, or rub a little oil on the plate, so they will come off more easily, or the plate may be slick enough alone to release them.

The conductivity of Sn relies upon on its allotrope: white tin is a competent conductor because it acts like a metallic; gray tin is a semiconductorthat's via its crystal shape, gray tin has a face-based diamond-cubic crystal shape such as Si (yet another semiconductor), and white tin has a extra common metallic shape.
Q: Good evening! I want to make an apple bong, because I heard it's really sweet tasting!! I know there's water in an appleI need to test it out, because I want them to be on all the tables at a bar I am opening up sometime in November called quot;Apple.quot;
Sounds like constipationHow about eating lots of fruits and vegetables? If you do not clear your bowels still, it is best to visit a doctor and get some mild laxative.
Q: In my model crude or mustard oil stick to aluminum.Please explain surface property?
Yes it works fine with all cookies even the pre-made kindAs an alternative, you can buy a silicone baking sheet which can be used over and over again and help prevent burningI purchased my at a restaurant supply, but bought them as gifts at Target for about 10 bucksIn the end it would be cheaper to use the baking sheets instead of the parchmentI'm not a professional, but that would be my suggestion for an ordinary home baker.
Q: Is it used in barrels, triggers etcIf not, what would be some advantages and disadvantages of using it?
Take her to a doctor, this is not normalMaybe she's not eating b/c her stomach hurts from the constipation? She might have a medical problem that you're unaware ofHave you given her a suppository or some other laxative? I would suggest that.
Q: If you cover a leaf with aluminum foil and then cut matching shapes on each side of the foil, thus allowing the sunlight to only hit the shapes, then where does carbon fixation occur in the leaf? I realize it occurs in the stroma and it is my understanding that carbon fixation is not light dependent so does it still occur throughout the entire leaf? Also where would you expect to find glucose in the leaf?Thanks
It would occur within the shape cutThere are light and dark reactions, carbon fixating being part of the dark reaction.
Q: I've heard that it got so cold there (sometimes 30 to 60 degrees below zero) that the 81mm and 60mm mortar tubes actually 'shrunk' enough that the shells would not drop in them.Anyone heard this rumor?
Metal and aluminum are not the same thingFor the poster above who compares an aluminum can to a mortar tube as if both will react in the same wayhe is way off baseA mortar round is made to barely fit in the tubeThere isnt that much clearanceAnd yes, freezing temperatures would make the tube shrink in size causing the round to jamIf you release the round at the wrong angle it can jamIf the slightest obstacle obstructs the round in its path it will jamAnd yes, the freezing temperatures would cause bombs to not detonate.
