Q:How to calculate power cable size, tell me formula?
There are two issues to consider, cable heating and voltage drop. Of the two, voltage drop is by far the easiest. You need to determine what the allowable voltage drop in you cable is. The voltage drop is just I x R where I is the current and R is teh round trip cable resistance. The specification of 100 kW isn't enough. If its a high tension 100 kV line, the current is only 1 amp and a run of 16 AWG wire would deliver about 99,999 volts out of the original 100,000 volts to your load. If its a 100 volt system then a 4 AWG wire would only deliver only 20 volts to the load. The formula for wire resistance (in AWG) is that 10 AWG has 0.001 ohm/ft. Each increase of 1 in the gauge increases resistance by the cube root of 2 (about 25%). You calculate by picking what voltage drop you can live with, for the known current figure the resistance, knowing the length figure the resistance per foot, and then pick the AWG using the above. The second concern is wire heating. Although you could do the heat transfer calculations, instead look up the allowable ampacity for any wire in an electrical engineers or NEC handbook.
Q:How to calculate power lost in a cable per day?
Power loss per day is meaningless, I assume you mean energy loss per day, or power loss You have to calculate the resistance in the wire. Resistance of a wire in Ω R = ρL/A ρ is resistivity of the material in Ω-m L is length in meters A is cross-sectional area in m² A = πr², r is radius of wire in m resistivity Cu 17.2e-9 Ω-m 3.87 cm² = 3.87 e-6 m² R = (2*915)(17.2e-9) / (3.87 e-6) = 8.13 ohms 80 kW at 200 volts is a current of 80000/200 = 400 amps You cannot put 400 amps through an 8 ohm resistance, as that requires a voltage of 3200 volts, which we don't have. So the premise of 80 kW is not possible. Perhaps you copied one of the numbers incorrectly. .
Q:ps3 problem , could it be the main power cable ?
It's simple: Your PS3's hardware was too damaged for it to be repaired, or the repair shop has no idea what they are doing. Not all PS3's can be effectively repaired. And even if someone gets them working temporarily (as in your case) they can shut down again almost immediately. See if you can get a refund or at least a partial refund. You need to give up on that PS3. It's beyond repair.

People use them if they don't have the 6 pin pci express on their power supply they use the adapter to connect extra 4 pin molexes to use for their video card/devices

im sure it comes with a power harness(plug) you prob have to do some splicing just connect it t0 the same place where you get power for the cd player your probably going to get a wire harness for your cd player right? just match the wires from your cd to your ipod thingy before you solder or crimp your connections

It's generally not a good idea to go into a power supply, but i think they are the same, you may have to do some soldering...
Q:Is it ok to leave laptops charging with power cable?
No need to leave it plug in all night. You can do it the simple way and shut it down for the night. As for myself, I put mine to sleep during the night (unplugged of course) and causes me no problems.. but if you are unsure on what to do, just shut it down during the night and no harm will be done.
Q:What power cable do I need for my mixer?
Be care full because a lot of european countries only have 240 volts. If you intend to use 110 make sure the mixer is switchable. If it is there will be a switch for the two different voltages. Some are made to work either way but the switch need to be in the proper position to avoid damage from either to much or not enough voltage. I work for a sound company and sometimes we get sent stuff wired for over seas. Some times it has to be exchanged because it isn't switchable. You need to contact Mackie and make sure you get the right cable. I'm sure they have a toll free number and web support. You may need to exchange the mixer.
Q:When you buy a PSU, does it come with a power cable?
hey there chris, yeah all psu come with a power supply adapter, although this is NOT a good psu too buy, it may be cheap but it will supply dodgy power too your components, not last very long and not made from quality parts, pc power and cooling,corsair, antec etc make good psu, cheap psu are not worth buying, get one for about 70 pounds, also 650w is unnesasery, i have a gtx 295 and a q9550 and run with a corsair 650w, if you have not that much of a high end system then just get around 400w
