Q:Why don't fire fighters use that white foamy stuff that you get in fire extinguishers to fight everyday fires, instead of water?Basically I was watching the news today and there was some cottage fire's some where in England and it just got me thinking. Is the white foamy stuff in fire extinguishers only good for small fires?That makes no sense though. And also if water is better for the bigger fire's then why aren't fire extinguishers filled with water.As soon as this popped in to my head I knew I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it.So to recap my main question is;Why is water used instead of the stuff in fire extinguishers to fight fires?Any help would be great. :)

When these units are professionally installed, especially on a wood floor, they are always connected to a floor drain. The pans are designed to contain a certain amount of water related to minor spill but would not, (obviously), take care of a major leak. If I were installing this I would locate the floor drain and then cut the pan at the bottom to match the drain. Depending upon the size of your drain, (usually 3), you should be able to by an adapter to slightly raise and seal the drain to the pan. Don't forget to caulk the fittings

Q:I have a brand new 3 ton unit. (house 1350 sq ft) I had all my duct work replaced. Both inside and outside units run but my house is very hot. There is R 30 insulation in the attic, too. I need to be cool and stop wasting electricity. Help please.

Q:My computer running XP as made my control panel just dissapear. I tried going to run and typing control.exe and it says This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator. I am the adminitrator!!!! I have Windows one care and it also keeps popping up with trojans that I tell it to clear all. Then it says successfully removed then pops right back up with the same trojan detected??? What gives?? I contacted Microsoft and waiting for a response. Any help would be awesome thank you.

The pump they supplied for the boiler loop will be sufficient for most applications, but the building loop pump will have to be calculated. They are two separate systems even though they are connected together with a Decoupler loop. You convert all the fittings to equivalent length of pipe, and then add that number to the actual length of pipe in the system. This is used to find the resistance to flow in the system. In some cases, where the pump is almost large enough, the diameter of the pipe and fittings can be increased a size to reduce the friction losses. Call the manufacture for Tech support if possible.

If you were having an inspection done, the inspector would question it. This is a DIYers helper. It will slow down the flow of water and is prone to starting a clog in the ridges. They are not very strong and will leak much sooner than regular pipe. If at all possible, use ridgid pipe and fittings. I won't say they are against code, just not a great option.
