Q:The wire in my headphones broke right next to the jack plug. I had a pair of crappy earphones that I have cut up as a replacement jack plug but no matter what I do I cant get any response. Is it because headphone wires are not compatible with earphone wires?Thank you
Skullcandy Ink'd are in simple terms suited headphones, whatchu talkin' bout, Willis?[: solid Skullcandy Smokin' Buds are appealing first-fee too. Skullcandy's considerable studio-like headphones are uncommon, yet they run approximately $80. i've got bought a pair of Sony sizeable headphones, in spite of the fact that i don't recognize the way lots they fee. they may be stunning outstanding. additionally, attempt Bose. They make in-ear and over-ear headphones.
Q:I just read an article about a man who was electrocuted by a live overhead wire while trimming a tree. Horrible. My question is I see squirrels running on all the overhead wires. How do they not get electrocuted?
You have to have a complete circuit. A man trimming trees may touch two wires at the same time or may touch one and the other wire is grounded causing the ground to act as the second wire. You cannot get electrocuted by touching just one wire. Technically, since one wire is grounded and we are on the ground we are touching one wire continuously. Also the squirl may be on a low voltage telephone wire or an insulated wire. If it's a bare wire and he doesn't jump onto the wire but rather reaches out from a tree and touches both at the same time he'll get shocked too.
Q:I am trying to test a engine coolant temperature sensor (ECT), and in one of the tests it states quot;connect the terminals of the electrical connector with a jumper wirequot;. Where can I find a jumper wire? Does it has to be an specific gauge or any jumper wire? please helpd
mokeyboy is correct about a jumper wire, now comes the ck of the sensor if its a single wire sensor some times called a thermal transmitter, grounding that wire will cause the temp gauge to read high, now if its two wire sensor for fuel injection that should not be grounded, but the sensor must be ck'd with a ohms meter
Q:When they stole my stereo they ripped everything off now i just have wires i tried looking up wiring harness and nothing.. Im kinda frustrated lol i have 3 blue wires 3 dark greens orange black tan yellow.brown etc.. Can u guys tell me.plz what they are i dont want to keep burning fuses lol

Q:Two long straight parallel wires are 12 cm apart. Wire A carries 2.5 A current. Wire B's current is 3.7 A in t?Two long straight parallel wires are 12 cm apart. Wire A carries 2.5 A current. Wire B's current is 3.7 A in the same direction.1) Determine the magnetic field magnitude due to wire A at the position of wire BB = ? T2) Determine the magnetic field due to wire B at the position of wire A.B = ? T3) Are these two magnetic fields equal and opposite? Why or why not?4) Determine the force on wire A due to wire B, and the force on wire B due to wire A.
(1) wire-A B = (uo)(I) / (2pi * r) B = (1.26E-6)(2.5) / (2pi * 0.12) B = 4.17E-6
Q:Does anyone know what color the neutral safety wire is on a 1995 suburban? The one in the ignition harness.
It is usually white, or sometimes gray.
Q:How much wire is required?
Length of wire is L = R*A/p SI units must be used, so convert radius of 1/64in to meters: r = 0.0254 / 64 m (using 25.4mm = 1 inch) r = 3.969*10^-4 m (0.3969mm) So cross-sectional area is A = pi*(3.969*10^-4)^2 m^2 A = 4.95*10^-7 m^2 The average resistivity of nichrome is p = 1.1*10^-6 ohm-meter So the required length of wire is L = 2.2 ohm * 4.95*10^-7 m^2 / 1.1*10^-6 ohm-meter L = 0.990 m
Q:Wiring together 200 + different colored LEDs. Voltage per LED ranges from 2.5 - 3.6. What is the best way to go about wiring them together and what type of power source should i use?
You have the voltage requirements for the LEDs, but a current requirement (and hence a measure of power consumed) would be useful. Find this out. Regarding power source, a battery that satisfies the requirements below will suffice... You have a choice of wiring in series or parallel. Parallel means effectively a branch of wire per LED (voltage over each LED is battery voltage; current into each is battery current divided by number of LEDs), while series means one long wire going through them all (battery current goes through them all, voltage over each is battery voltage divided by number of LEDs). Depends on the presentation you want, and what you are using them for. When you decide which wiring type you want to use, just make sure the wires you buy are sufficient for carrying whatever current you predict will be flowing through each. Have fun :p
Q:So I know that the neutral wire is the 'return wire'. But why does my textbook say that it has the potential to have the same amount of electricity as the live wire (if the wiring is faulty)? But essentially, if the wiring is not faulty it is technically safe to touch it, it has 0 volts.Could someone explain this to me?
In the absence of faults, the neutral should be safe. It is normally connected to ground at the supply entry board or at the substation/transformer. In the event that a neutral wire becomes disconnected between an appliance and the supply entry board, it will be at the same potential as the live wire.
Q:Just bought a new amp for my truck. The speaker outputs needs to be indiviually wired to the door speakers. Do you splice into the speaker wire or the trucks harness?
ideally you want to wire directly from the amp to the door speakers with new speaker wire but doing this properly requires removing some of the trimming and passing the new wires throughout the car. you can also take the easier route and pass the wires from your amp up under the steering wheel behind the center console and splice them into the existing wires going to the door speakers. as long as the wattage isn't very high the latter shouldn't be a problem. however, if it were up to me i would use new wires and pass them throughout the car, removing the trimmings, etc. this can be somewhat of a pain to do if you have never done it before though.
