Q:hiI have very low pressure only on the hot water in my kitchen sink. Cold water is fine. Can anyone recommend a water pump/power shower i can use for boosting my hot water in the kitchen sink tap?Ive already tested the faucet by swapping the water supplies.thanks
Sink Water Pump
Q:I want to know how to start up a water pump so i can move up to my camp.
There's a few different kinds of water pumps. If you're referring to a hand-pumped well water pump that doesn't work, then it's generally lost it's prime. Some well pumps are constructed so you pour a quart or so of water into the pump and stroke the handle up and down until the water rises in the well. Other kinds of well pumps you have to take the hand pump off and pour a bucket of water into the well hole. It just depends on what kind of water pump you have.
Q:We just replaced the motor on our water pump that burnt out but we are still getting no water pressure. My father in law did a lot of test stuff on it he thinks it's the foot valve. Well I've been trying to call every where get quotes but NOT 1 of the places I called is answering their phone for some reason. So how much dose it usually run to have someone come fix your foot valve so I have an idea to tell my husband?
If you want to purchase a foot valve I would suggest you purchase a brass one with a stainless steel screen. where I live that peticular one would cost approximatly $20.00 Also you would need a brass male adapter. Approximately $8.00 and gear clamps All Stainless steel X2 $1.50ea One question: is there water in the pump body? if not then you either have a leak either in the water line leading to the foot valve or the footvalve leakes itself. if there are other questions e-mail Licensed pump installer. good luck. If father inlaw is comfortable doing tests then should be comfortable changing footvalve. with a little bit of help. is it a drilled well or a dug well?
Q:1.where is it located and what would I have to remove 1st to get to it. And would I need a torque wrench if so what # would it have to be at when re-installing water pump
1990 Toyota Celica
Q:I think my water pump has crapped out on my 1997 Jeep Cherokee. I have been leaking coolant for a few days now and there is a puddle under my Jeep after I turn it off and my reserve tank keeps emptying out on me. I replaced the lower radiator hose and still the same problem. It is not over heating so I am wondering if it IS a water pump problem? If it is, could I do the work myself?
The pump has a weep hole. Once the seal has been damaged by slack from bad bearings, it will begin to leak most car owners begin to weep. If you have a general tool set,i.e. sockets ratchets wrenches, you should be able to change it. Some vehicles require removing several componets to get to the water pump. If that is your case, Make notes of any wires removed, label them, keep the bolts for each individual componet separate from the others. Some bolts are different sizes lengths. Keep good notes. Be sure clean all the old gasket material off before the new install.
Q:To get at the timing belt on a Toyota 3.4L V6, does the water pump first need to be removed? If so, is there a way to tell how worn a water pump with 85,000 miles is? Like a loose bearing feel, etc?
If you are replacing the timing belt it is recommended you also replace the water pump. They have similar life spans and one has to be removed to replace the other.
Q:i drove up a hill which was about a mile and when i got up the hill i drove anther half a mile to my location and as soon as i tuned my car off i notice coolant leak for the reservoir tank and being dumb i took the cap off off and i think you know so i drove it home after letting it return to a lower temp and it didn't run hot it just raised 2 line above the middle marker and i ran it today just to idle and refilled the tank and let it run it didn't leak but the Serpentine belt made a noise not loud but noticeable (could this be a bad water pump and i flushed my radiator before they swapped engine out which was not long ago) the current engine is used and run fine with power and pep
dont suspect fault, the noise is water on the belt ,will dry out and should be good.
Q:Could this be a result of a bad water pump.
Water is a normal byproduct of catalytic converter operation. If you are concerned about a possible coolant consumption issue, observe your exhaust for any signs of white smoke emitting. It's highly unlikely that coolant would be able to make it through your exhaust and to the end of the tailpipe, as exhaust temperatures run between the 500-900 degree range. If there are no signs of white smoke, then your vehicle is operating as it's supposed to.
Q:Why does the pump decay when connected in parallel?
When two pumps are connected in parallel, the flow rate is less than two of the rated flow of the pump. That is because of the loss of the pipeline and the incomplete sealing of the one-way valve (backflow) and the maximum capacity limit of the pipeline. The solution is to increase the diameter of the supervisor, check whether the one-way valve is completely sealed, whether the inlet and outlet pipe is blocked or not, and reasonably reduce the elbow and the valve.
Q:I have a 99 Olds Intrigue With the 3.8L (Vin K) engine. I have a belt driven water pump, but i was wondering if there is a fuse or relay that is associated with this water pump. I remember knocking a fuse out on accident while changing my radiator and now the water pump appears to not be working
Sir,you appear to lack basic mechanical skills.Do not ever lift the hood of your car again.
