1. Manual Wafer Butterfly Valve Description:
A butterfly valve is a valve which can be used for isolating or regulating flow. The closing mechanism takes the form of a disk. Operation is similar to that of a ball valve, which allows for quick shut off. Butterfly valves are generally favored because they are lower in cost to other valve designs as well as being lighter in weight, meaning less support is required. The disc is positioned in the center of the pipe, passing through the disc is a rod connected to an actuator on the outside of the valve. Rotating the actuator turns the disc either parallel or perpendicular to the flow. Unlike a ball valve, the disc is always present within the flow, therefore a pressure drop is always induced in the flow, regardless of valve position.
2.Main Features of the Manual Wafer Butterfly Valve
a)Cast hole. Flange connection meet ANSI 125/150# DIN PN10/16 BS4504 PN10/16 in the meanwhile.
b)Soft seat. Replaceable. Increase of service life.
c)Double half shaft without pin.
d) Square and short neck. Easy to stick scutcheon and cost saving.

5.FAQ
1. What is manual wafer butterfly valve?
A: Wafer style is the more common of the two and is less expensive than the lug style. The wafer style butterfly valve is just about the standard. It ís so common that no one even bothers to use the word "wafer" when ordering a butterfly valve. It is taken for granted that if a butterfly valve is ordered, a wafer style will be received.
2. How about the Installation of the Wafer Style Butterfly Valve?
A: Butterfly valves are installed by inserting the valve between two flanges using bolts or studs and nuts to hold it all together. This type of installation, of course, makes it impossible to disconnect just one side of the piping system from the valve. That benefit is received using the lug style valve.
3. What is the working principle of manual wafer butterfly valve?
A: A butterfly valve is from a family of valves called quarter-turn valves. In operation, the valve is fully open or closed when the disc is rotated a quarter turn. The "butterfly" is a metal disc mounted on a rod. When the valve is closed, the disc is turned so that it completely blocks off the passageway. When the valve is fully open, the disc is rotated a quarter turn so that it allows an almost unrestricted passage of the fluid. The valve may also be opened incrementally to throttle flow.
- Q: What do you mean, handle, butterfly valve, hard back and soft back?
- Hello, soft sealing butterfly valve is generally divided into skeleton, seat and frameless valve seat, the skeleton of the general material: resin, aluminum, iron.. Etc.. With back seat is on the back of the vulcanized rubber, without skeleton, valve seat is rubber.
- Q: When will Butterfly Valves be used?
- Butterfly valve is the most common and most widely used in the field of the valve, cases of sewage treatment, water supply, iron and steel, building construction and heating fields needs a lot of valves, especially with the hard seal butterfly valve butterfly valve position and a lot of popularity, the field is used more widely.
- Q: The difference between butterfly valve d71x_10s and d341s-10
- Before distinguishing between the two, you must first read the identification of the valve type:D stands for butterfly valves,3 means that the worm gear is connected and the drive does not indicate the handle7 and 4 indicate pipe to clamp connection, pipe flange connection, respectively1 means single eccentric, that is, the stem is not in the center of the butterfly plateThe former S indicates the material name of the valve body - plastic, X means sealing and the lining material is rubberThe latter S indicates the sealing lining material code ---- plastic, and the valve body is cast iron.10 means stress.
- Q: Why anti condensation of aluminum alloy anti condensation butterfly valve?
- Anti condensation butterfly valve principle: the use of the high performance plate material, can effectively prevent the temperature of body parts, isolating the transfer medium in the pipeline, to the actuator and the connecting flange surface without dew.
- Q: How does the pneumatic butterfly valve control the angle of opening?
- This is really not good, control seems to be pneumatic defects, can only rely on the feeling
- Q: What are single eccentric and double eccentric in butterfly valves? What's the difference, please explain in detail?
- Eccentric butterfly valve is divided into single eccentric butterfly valve, double eccentric butterfly valve, three eccentric butterfly valve, variable eccentric butterfly valve.Single eccentric butterfly valve: extrusion problems, address concentric butterfly valve and valve seat of the resulting in a single eccentric butterfly valve, the structural characteristics of the stem axis deviated from the disc center, so that the butterfly is no longer a rotary bottom plate, axial dispersion, reduce the excessive squeezing and the lower end of the seat of the butterfly board.
- Q: How do hydraulic butterfly valves work?
- Butterfly valve hydraulic drive device working principle1. manual operationWhen the hydraulic system suddenly fails, the valve can not move when the butterfly plate at any stop. Then, shaking the manual device, the guide block guide block in front of the manual shaft together with the driving shaft end, the cogging and drive shaft spline manual corresponding to the slot. Then, by dialing the driving device, the dial is shifted to the left end, and the transmission spline is connected with the manual shaft by a gear sleeve (the driving device is provided with a limit for preventing the tooth sleeve from jumping up), and the crank is disengaged from the hydraulic cylinder to disengage the hydraulic cylinder. Then turn the manual device and use the manual device to realize the disc movement.2. hydraulic operationWhen the hydraulic system returns to normal operation, the actuating device needs to be operated by hand. First, adjust the hydraulic cylinder to its initial state (0 digits) or at any position. Then manually adjust the opening of the disc to the position corresponding to the cylinder stroke (by observing whether the mark on the gear sleeve is in accordance with the mark on the crank, and judge the position of the disc and the cylinder). Then pull the gear sleeve and engage the spline on the crank by poking the driving device. Then fix the shift to prevent jumping. At this point, start the hydraulic system to restore fluid flow.
- Q: What are the functions and uses of butterfly valves?
- Butterfly valve (English: butterfly valve) refers to the closure of parts (valve or butterfly plate) for the disk, around the valve shaft to achieve rotation and closing of a valve, the main cut off on the pipe and throttling role. Butterfly valve headstock is a disc shaped disc, in the valve body around its own axis of rotation, so as to achieve the purpose of opening or closing or regulation.
- Q: Hi guys, i asked a question before pertaining to the amount of cylinders and asking if it meant V4 or V6 or whatever.I actually meant to say VALVES, not cylinders. IS there a direct correlation between VALVES and Clyinders..Eg, My car, which is a 2001 Neon LE states right on the engine block quot;16 VALVEquot; in bright letters. I am sure this is a 4 cylinder engine. I haven't had a car that broadcasted the number of VALVES before. Another car I had broadcast that is was a 3.3 Liter V6 right on the engine. Is there a mathematical relationship between VALVES and cylinders, or would my car be braodcasting 16 VALVES, because a 4 cylinder doesn't typically HAVE 16 valves, or what is the story??Recently, I was looking at an altima, and it said 24 valves. Can you tell just by the number of valves if it is a 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder or whatever??Thanks.
- for every cylinder there is 4 valves..
- Q: I did a compression check on my 350 chevy. I have low compression of 175psi on one cylinder. The other seven cylinders range from 195psi to 205psi Could the valves be too tight on the cylinder with 175 psi compression?
- unless they have been tampered with that wouldn't be it,they usually wont tighten up on their own,i would suspect maybe a valve with a slight burn place on it that's causing that to happen or a ring causing you to loose that much compression, try adding a small amount of oil in the cylinder and then do the compression test again, that will tell you if its a ring or a valve, that's a big loss of compression ,and when you see that much of drop its usually a burnt valve.good luck.
