- Q: Looking for vintage i.e. 1930-1950s pillows for my new retro lookin sofa. It's called dallas steele (which is a slate blue/grey color). In tryin to keep with my depression era vintage home decor I'm wonderin what color pillows for the sofa to use? I thought white..which really stands out nice against the color but then I have a hubby and two dogs and white might not be white for too long :) haha Any thoughts would be welcomed...for all your vintiquey people out there like myself...I'd love to hear from ya :) Thanks in advance! :D
- Yeah, white might get dirty pretty quick. :) You need to select an accent color, that you can use not only in the pillows, but in at least one or two other decorative accessories in the room (lamp, artwork, carpet or throw rugs). Some ideas for accent colors would be bold orange, daffodil yellow (not bright), lime green, pale blue, black. See website below for some retro type home accessories, including a few throw pillows.

- I okorder /... Unless your husband is willing to do the cleanup for these stains himself he should not object to you taking reasonable steps to prevent them with a cover to protect the furniture. While I sympathize with him for having to deal with inconvenient side effects, it would be immature to gripe about something that mitigates the problem and saves you work.

- You have a real challenge, since the odor got into the foam of the cushions. I am providing a link to several methods that do work. My preference is to use vinegar-water. You can be sloppy with it, since you really need to get the solution into the foam.

- ok a cow is a cow is a cow etc . i dont care if the cows from italy spain france hes still a dang ole cow . ok now get the thick leather and use conditioner on it all the time. i have leather in my trucks and on my sofa. but do you get my point they say its italian leather to make it sound like you should pay more. leather is made the same everywhere there is no other way to make it better
