Q: what is a traditional form of constructing a ground floor ?
Constructing is a big word it could mean foundation work for some, walls to another framing, masonry, finishes, decoration, painting, flooring, something that is learned over a lifetime or a paragraph in a textbook. The tradition could be Western, Eastern, Northern, Southern or any ethnic, geographical, or historical location or time on the globe. Even what is considered a ground floor is called the first floor in other parts of the world. So perhaps you could define your question a little more.
Q: Prove that the floor(2x)=floor(x)+floor(x+1/2)i need the proof with cases.
Suppose that we split up x into its integer part y and its decimal part z (for example, we can split 3.6 up into 3 and 0.6). Then, we have: x = y + z. Then: floor(2x) = floor(2y + 2z), floor(x) = floor(y + z), and floor(x + 1/2) = floor(y + z + 1/2). For 0 < z < 1, floor(y + z) = y for all integers y (y is defined to be an integer, so this is fine). As for floor(2y + 2z) and floor(y + z + 1/2), we need to take cases. Now, if 0 < z < 0.5, then 0 < 2z < 1 and 0 < z + 1/2 < 1 and so: 2y < 2y + 2z < 2y + 1 and y < y + z + 1/2 < y + 1, which implies that 2x is some number between 2y and 2y + 1 and that x + 1/2 is some number between y and y + 1, which implies: floor(2x) = x and floor(x + 1/2) = x, so floor(2x) = floor(x) + floor(x + 1/2) when x is some integer plus a decimal between 0 and 0.5. As for the case 0.5 < z < 1, 1 < 2z < 2 and 1 < z + 1/2 < 1.5, so: 2y + 1 < 2y + 2z < 2y + 2 and y + 1 < y + z + 1/2 < y + 1.5, yielding floor(2y + 2z) = 2y + 1, floor(y + z + 1/2) = y + 1, and floor(y + z) = y, and so: floor(2y + 2z) = floor(y + z + 1/2) + floor(y + z) == floor(2x) = floor(x) + floor(x + 1/2). Combining these two cases proves floor(2x) = floor(x) + floor(x + 1/2) when x is not an integer. To prove the case when x is an integer, notice that: floor(2x) = 2x, floor(x) = x, and floor(x + 1/2) = x, when x is an integer, which shows that floor(2x) = floor(x) + floor(x + 1/2) when x is an integer. Combining these three cases yields floor(2x) = floor(x) + floor(x + 1/2) for all x (as required). I hope this helps!

Q: Explain how the Earth’s magnetic reversals provide evidence of sea floor spreading.Please help, just this one question.I go to TLHS
Because a series of magnetic reversals that are semmetrical either side of EACH mid oceanic ridge have been mapped out and clearly demonstrate the way the the oceans have spread through time. In the late 1950s, a series of oceanographic expeditions was commissioned to map the magnetic character of the ocean floor, with the expectation that the ocean floors would display largely uniform magnetic properties. Surprisingly, results showed that the basaltic sea floor has a striped magnetic pattern, and that the stripes run essentially parallel to the mid-ocean ridges. Moreover, the stripes on one side of a mid-ocean ridge are symmetrically matched to others of similar width and polarity on the opposite side. In 1963, two British geoscientists, Vine and Matthews (Box 1), proposed a hypothesis that elegantly explained how these magnetic reversal stripes formed by linking them to the new idea of sea-floor spreading. They suggested that as new oceanic crust forms by the solidification of basalt magma, it acquires a magnetisation in the same orientation as the prevailing global magnetic field. As sea-floor spreading continues, new oceanic crust is generated along the ridge axis. If the polarity of the magnetic field then reverses, any newly erupted basalt becomes magnetised in the opposite direction to that of the earlier crust and so records the opposite polarity. Since sea-floor spreading is a continuous process on a geological timescale, the process preserves rocks of alternating polarity across the ocean floor (Figure 7a). Reading outwards in one direction from the mid-ocean ridge gives a record of reversals over time, and this can be matched with the record read in the opposite direction.
Q: HOW do you take a toliet up, and fix the floor before it falls in .
Taking the toilet up is the easy part. There should be two bolts on the sides of the base that have to come loose. A lot of the time these are rusted or corroded so badly that you have to use a hacksaw to cut them off. You'll need to cut the rotten part of the floor out to the center of the floor joists that are past where the rot stops. In the space between the joists it's a good idea to install a piece of lumber the same size as the joists between them so that the end of the new piece of plywood is sitting on something. Position the new piece so that it will be half under the old plywood so that it will support both the old and new pieces. Basically you want a square frame to hold up the new piece of floor you'll be putting down. The biggest problem is usually that since the toilet sits so close to the wall that sometimes the water damage extends underneath the wall. If that's the case, then I'd suggest calling in someone with experience. If not, then cut a piece of 3/4 inch plywood to fit the hole that you cut out. If you're putting linoleum of something soft down for the floor, then use wood putty to fill the gap between the old and the new sub-floor otherwise you'll be able to see where the gap is because the flooring will eventually sink into the gap. If you're doing tile, you shouldn't have to worry about it.
Q: Stick to strengthen the floor how to paste, with what accessories? What kind of ground can be posted?
In the case of the original cement floor, it is possible to assemble it. In the assembly before the release of some special moisture-proof pad, and then directly installed.

Q: I have a tiled concrete floor in my kitchen and it is soooo cold. I am going to re-do the kitchen soon and want to put down the warmest floor I can. I cant afford underfloor heating. So, what to do? Rip up the tiles/lay laminate with insulation/vinyl flooring/another option? The current tiles are well laid and flat but are small with grout in grooves inbetween and they end just under the cabinets. Laminate with insulation looks as if it would come up quite thick if I just put it on top of the tiles. Vinyl flooring may slip on the tiles and could be just as cold. I have a rug down at the moment and it got dirty in no time so not a fan of carpet in the kitchen. Any solutions/thoughts please (especially if you are flooring contractor!)
If you put anything beside a floating laminate floor, you will need to remove the old tile (and I agree that not removing the tile then, will make a thick floor). If you remove the tile, then laying the electric mat will not add much height, and will give you a nicely warm floor. If you won't/can't put the under-floor warming... - can you change curtains or such to gain a little solar heating on floor? - you could maybe install some sort of radiant heat system high in the room - the flooring would pick up some heat from this. Cheapest of all - wear slippers.
