- COMFORTABLE, CHEAP AND HYGIENIC DOG BEDS. My rigid plastic dog beds are forty five years old; they are still intact and hygienic. I have never bought posh dog beds because it is almost impossible to put them into the washing machine. I use plastic beds which are cheap and easy to clean. I will admit that although my old plastic beds are reasonably sound, there is evidence that all of my puppies have had a nibble at the edges.

- as long as it is not wood shavings or made from wood. care fresh is a good one. it's made of recycled paper. don't use anything that is small and crumbly as the ferret may get it up it's nose and this could cause respiratory problems. you can also use old sheets,blankets, clothes(remove buttons)scrap material, etc. don't use anything that they might get a toe nail caught in. ie: terry cloth hope this helps.
