- Q: ...old. I want to paint my bedroom walls. Can I paint on this paneling?It's not wood paneling. It's the paneling they use in mobile homes.
- 1) okorder /... I bought it and hubby loved it. He considered himself an expert but as I observed I thought he should learn some short cuts. The person that made that DVD sends you email to make sure you are happy with it. 2) Get from the store or Home Depot little samples of prime and paint. Try on a little corner. Here at home we had some rooms that the walls were with panels of masonite (similar to formica, popular in the 70's). Each panel was connected to the next by a long plastic joint. Hubby cut the joints, placed a screen tape and caulked the space. Primed and painted the wall. They are perfect and they will never crack. I am assuming the paneling in the mobile home might be of this material. 3) Cover the walls with sheet rock and paint is another option. 4) Contact the mobile home manufacturer and ask for recommendations.
- Q: I had an old, old version of the Better Homes and Gardens white and red checkered cookbook. I used to make an old Corn Chowder Recipe. Any one have it? or know where to get it? We're talking 50's or 60's. I can recall some of the ingredients: Brown Onions and bacon, add cubed potatoes and water. Corn, milk, bay leaf, can't remember anything else. I adapted it by putting in pieces of cooked chicken breast meat and tomato paste. Any one????
- This sounds weird
- Q: I am specifically looking for their swedish meatball recipe from the 70's. The newer Better Homes Gardens cookbooks have a different recipe. That old recipe is my mom's favorite, but we lost that recipe can't find it anywhere. I'm not sure if it matters but we used to have the paperback version of that cookbook.
- I have a 1981 Better Homes and Gardens cookbook which has the following recipe for Swedish Meatballs 1/2 cup chopped onion 3 tablespoons butter or margarine 1 beaten egg 1 cup light cream 1 1/2 cups soft bread crumbs 1/4 cup finely snipped parsley 1 1/4 teaspoon salt Dash ground nutmeg Dash ground ginger Dash pepper 1 1/2 pounds ground beef * 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon instant beef bouillon granules 1/2 teaspoon instant coffee crystals Cook onion in 1 tablespoon of the butter or margarine till tender. In a mixing bowl combine egg and cream; stir in cooked onion, bread crumbs, parsley, salt, nutmeg, ginger, and pepper.Add ground beef or meats; mix well. Chill mixture. Shape chilled meat mixture into 3/4 to 1 inch balls. Brown meatballs, half at a time, in the remaining 2 tablespoons butter or margarine; remove from skillet. Stir in flour, bouillon granules, and coffee crystals into pan drippings; add 1 1/4 cups water. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Add meatballs. Cover; simmer about 30 minutes, basting meatballs occasionally. Makes about 60 meatballs. * Or, use a mixture of 3/4 pound ground beef, 1/2 pound ground veal, and 1/4 pound ground pork for the meatballs.
- Q: ots the last track on quot;A Brokedown Meoldyquot; I'm dying for these lyrics, I cant find them anywhere! Thanks so much!some of the words...quot;I gotta get home theres a garden to tend, theres fruit on the ground and the birds have moved back into my atticquot;
- I gotta get home there's a garden to tend there's fruit on the ground and the birds have all moved back into my attic, whistling static when the young learn to fly I will patch all the holes up again. Well I can't believe that my lime tree is dead I thought it was sleepin, I guess it got fed up with not being fed and I would be too I keep food in my belly and hope that my time isn't soon. And so I try to understand what I can't hold in my hand and where ever we are home is there too. And if you could try to find it too cause this place is over grown its a waxin moon home is where ever we are if there's love there too. In the back of our house there's a trail that won't end we've been walking so far that it grew back in there's no trail at all, only grass growing taller get out my machete and battle with time once again but I'm bound to lose cause I'll be damned if time don't win. I gotta get home there's a garden to tend all the seeds from the fruit bare reed and begin their own family trees teach them thank you and please as they spread their own roots then watch the young fruit grow again And this old trail will lead me right back to where it begins. And so I try to understand what I can't hold in my hand And whatever I find I'll find my way back to you. And if you could try to find it too cause this place is over grown its a waxin moon home is where ever we are if there's love there too.

- I suggest either going with the epoxy mentioned above, or fiberglass. You might put the biggest part of both patch on the backside if it is obtainable, and just a small quantity on high to maintain the tub watching as pleasant as possible. I used fiberglass on a out door hot bathtub with excellent results. That you could buy fiberglass at a automobile provide retailer, but be careful of the fumes when making use of it. Have just right air flow or wear a respirator for natural and organic gasses. The fiberglass would make an extended lasting patch, as epoxy seems to weaken over time.

- Q: I have a ground floor studio flat (999 years, share of freehold) which has exclusive use of the garden - a side gate to both the studio and the garden (about 40x40 feet) ensures this. The studio is at the rear of the house and adjoins the garden. There is a garden hut in the corner of the garden.I am thinking that a far more ambitious structure in the garden - such as a home office say 15x10 feet - would greatly expand the amenity of the studio. How likely would I be to secure permission to build - both from the local authoriity (Eastbourne) and from the other freeholders? Or do I even need permission?
